It wasn’t that long ago that South Bend Adams was undefeated. They started the season 10-0 prior to hitting a rough patch in their schedule and losing five straight games. However, they bounced back in a major way on Saturday afternoon defeating Portage, who had started the season 16-0, 69-67. Tolbert Jr, an unsigned senior guard, scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Eagles.

One of the top under-the-radar players in the in-state 2026 class comes from South Bend Adams. Jarvis Tolbert Jr Jarvis Tolbert Jr 6'3" | SG South Bend Adams | 2026 State IN has had a strong senior season for the Eagles averaging a team-high 25.0 points and 6.7 rebounds for them. olbert handles the ball well for his size and plays with a relentless attacking style when driving to the rim. Watch him this week when Adams faces LaLumiere Regional and Penn.

Another star from the South Bend area that came down to the Metro Indy Fall League on Sunday, Tolbert Jr. stood out as a scorer and all-around playmaker. He has good size in the backcourt 6’2″-6’3″ guard, is very quick end-to-end with the ball in his hands, and was consistently involved in the rebounding efforts for his team. Tolbert Jr., a star at South Bend Adams High School, continues to fly a bit under-the-radar heading into his senior season. He really proved himself on Sunday evening as a weapon to be very aware of in the Class of 2026.

Physical scoring guard that scores in a lot of different ways. Really good driving to the basket on close outs and plays with great body control to finish through contact at the rim. Expect him to be an eye catcher this weekend.

Over at the EYCL circuit I got a chance to watch Bates Fundamentals 17u which had a few guys that stood out to me. One of those guys was 6-foot-3 wing Jarvis Tolbert Jr Jarvis Tolbert Jr 6'3" | SG South Bend Adams | 2026 State IN out of South Bend Adams. For his length, really liked the way he handled the ball and was able to take plays with the ball in his hand. He is a strong wing that is just relentless on the drive.

One of the top under-the-radar scorers in the state of Indiana, Tolbert Jr. shot up from #60 to #29 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2026 Prospect Rankings. The South Bend Adams guard averaged 18.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game as a sophomore and has had a strong spring/summer between playing with Indiana Game on the UA Rise Circuit and then shining at the Charlie Hughes Showcase. He is a relentless right hand driver with good physical and athletic tools that he uses to finish at a high percentage around the rim. Continues to blossom as a three-point shooter as well.
