Continue ReadingToday we will be taking a look at some players that were able to turn some heads and make plays for their team. These were players who I thought were able to step up when their team needed them.
Latham was able to make his presence felt in the paint being able to alter shots and grab boards on both ends of the court. On offense he was able to back defenders down and get some turn around shots to go in.
Highlights
Harrell was a big that was able to crash the boards and get out in transition quickly. He is shiftier than he looks and was able to get into the paint and finish at the rim. He was active on the defensive end which helped him get rewarded more when running in transition.
Highlights
Montes was a knockdown shooter from behind the arc that was able to make the defense pay when they didn’t close out properly. He was a pest on defense and was quick to get over in help side, getting his hands in the passing lanes.
Cade Johnson
Cade Johnson
Johnson was able to make his presence felt down low sending away shots and altering shots in the post. He was able to crash the boards on the defensive end and was limiting second chance opportunities for the offense.
Westen Vanslyke
Westen Vanslyke
Vanslyke was able to push the pace in transition being a break starter. He was a knockdown shooter from behind the arc, quickly finding his sweet spot and making the defense pay. He was able to battle in the paint down low and grab some boards as well.
Sacha Scoular
Sacha Scoular
Scoular was a pest on the defensive end being able to play the passing lanes and having the handles to take it coast to coast in transition. He has quick feet and can get over quickly in help side. On offense he was able to get into the paint and finish at the rim and at times through contact.
