West Mania brought together some of the top shoe circuit and independent programs from the Western U.S. for a three-day event, complete with Circuit crossover games in the showcase break off at Cerritos College. In this piece we take a look at the top scorers we saw on the weekend.
AJ Dybantsa AJ Dybantsa 6'8" | SF #1 Nation CA-N | 2025 | Oakland Soldiers
Some consider Dybantsa the top 2025 prospect in the country and he made it clear why he belongs in that conversation. The 6-foot-8 wing has NBA size and athleticism to go along with a skill-set that could rise to that level as he continues to develop. Nevertheless, Dybantsa was a tough cover for anyone who tried this weekend as his combination of physical tools, ball skills and shot-making ability allowed him to get where he wanted whenever he wanted. Dybantsa threw down a handful of impressive dunks and made some tough perimeter jumpers look easy.
Brandon McCoy Brandon McCoy 6'4" | CG St. John Bosco | 2026 State CA-S Jr. | 2026 | AZ Unity
McCoy is rated as some as the top 2026 prospect in the country and his all-around offensive skill-set to go along with his athletic gifts are the reasons why he’s that highly ranked of a player. In this event, McCoy had the full scoring arsenal on display. He’s best in transition where he uses his smooth but explosive athleticism to get into the lane and score with mid-range jumpers or high-flying dunks. In half-court offense, McCoy picks his spots well when elevating and knocking down perimeter jumpers. What stood out most to me about McCoy was how quick his second jump is and how he times his misses for easy put-back buckets.
Brayden Burries Brayden Burries 6'4" | SF Roosevelt | 2025 State #13 Nation CA-S | 2025 | Strive For Greatness
Burries is the top prospect in our state rankings and is among the Top 20 2025 players in the country among the various national ranking services. The 6-foot-5 wing is one of the best downhill drivers and finishers you’ll find anywhere and his combination of strength, athleticism and sheer aggressiveness and confidence when attacking the basket are the reasons why the presence of rim protectors don’t matter to him.
Dallas Washington Dallas Washington 6'10" | SF Santa Margarita | 2025 State #395 Nation CA-S | 2025 | AZ Unity
Washington has some tools that you can’t teach to a guy at his size. The 6-foot-9 forward has smooth shooting form off the catch, a good pop of athleticism around the basket and the ball skills to score on straight-line drive situations. Washington is a stretch four type of prospect to track, especially if his three-point shot is falling as consistently as it did over the weekend.
Davis Fogle | 2025 | Seattle Select
The 6-foot-7 wing is a three-level scoring threat and his pure jump shot unlocks the rest of his offensive tools. Fogle has deep and consistent range on his catch-and-shoot three ball and has a balanced pull-up mid-range jumper off the bounce. What makes Fogle such an intriguing prospect is his pop of athleticism around the basket in the open court and in transition. The wiry wing gets off the floor quickly and finishes above the rim.
