Utah players regardless if they are on a prep team or local high school team have found ways to make noise at the next level and beyond and Dybantsa fits the bill as he checks all boxes and is a player that everyone is looking forward to watching play. With a mixture of Kevin Garnett, Tracy McGrady and Kevin Durant look for him to rival Jimmer Mania this coming season at BYU.

AJ Dybantsa put on a show all weekend long. The #1 recruit in the nation utilized his athleticism on both sides of the ball and made a number of highlight reel plays. In his game against Columbus, he scored 14 straight points for Utah Prep and finished the game with 28. The attention he draws on the offensive end also open things up for his teammates, and AJ is a willing passer. Although he is headed to college next year, he looks league ready.

We will likely know where the #1 player in the country will be attending in a few months as Dybantsa finishes his official visits. Dybantsa is a generational talent and he is the most sought after player in the Class of 2025.

Not only does he bring length to the floor, he is actually strong although slender. He is a Kevin Durrant type of player. He is shooting the ball well and his wiggle on the ball is impressive. He can also do work inside and he is an above the rim monster.

Dybantsa is a dynamic long wing who excels across all facets of the game, showcasing his versatility and skill. His impressive length and athleticism allow him to impact both ends of the court, from scoring to defending. Dybantsa’s ability to handle the ball, rebound, and contribute to plays at a high level makes him a instant mismatch.

Dybantsa is going to be BOX Office. The amount of tourism that he is going to bring to Southern Utah might rival some of the National Parks in the area. I would not be surprised when Utah Prep finds a way to host some Grind Session events, especially being so close to Las Vegas. Dybantsa has been projected as the #3 pick when he is eligible for the NBA Draft. Let that sink in.

Not only is the #1 player in the country on the USA team but the #1 player in the country will also be claimed by Utah as he will anchor the team with his high flying and elite shooting that in ways reminds a lot of people of Kevin Durant and his game. You can also comp him with some T-Mac as well. Dybansta will not only wow you on the offense end of the basket but he will also play defense as he is the best two way player in the country heading into his senior year. He will have the pick of the liter when it comes to choosing a college.

The 6-8 junior forward re-classed from 2026 to 2025 over the summer and has improved his game in a variety of ways. Dybantsa is a long, wiry wing that has a smooth handle in the open court allowing him to finish around the rim through traffic as well as great passing skills. Defensively, Dybantsa plays with a ton of length where he can block shots around the rim as well as challenge shots out on the perimeter. He is on track to be one of the top-ranked players in his class, as he continues to get stronger and more physical inside.
