The 2026 class is a good one but it has started to be hit by attrition as former #2 Gabe Weis has already left for Montverde and it's expected that another top player will be gone out of state this summer. There are still plenty of talented prospects in the class and it's exceptionally deep in the middle with a lot of players who will play D2/NAIA in college. Here's a look at the best Combo Guards in this rankings update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1359136' first='Carson' last='Fraley'] is a bully. And I mean that in the best way. Fraley knows how to get to the rim and uses his body to create separation from defenders and finish. Carson should be one of the best players in the 12th region as a Junior if he stays healthy.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575699' first='Athens' last='McGillis'] had a really good Sophomore season for Covington Catholic and is only going to get better if he adds some bulk to his frame to allow him to become more effective as a driver and finisher. A really good foul shooter, don't be surprised if Athens starts getting to the line more often in the near future.

[player_tooltip player_id='1702598' first='Bryonn' last='Faulkner']'s season was cut short after a transfer as well as a quad injury that left him hobbled for most of the year. Bryonn has to continue improving his skill level but he may be the most athletic combo guard in the 26 class and has a super quick first step.

Predominantly a shooter, [player_tooltip player_id='1409548' first='Dawson' last='Gilbert'] could be an X Factor with Adair County next season if he can continue his development. Gilbert has really good size for the position and should see a big jump in production heading into next season.

Louden had a really good season for Conner but no one on our staff has seen him play yet so his spot at 145 is just an entry point. He's definitely a top 100+ player in the 2026 class.
