I appreciate all you wonderful readers more than words can express. In honor of that number of articles, I’m going to give you 5 2025’s that are must see this grassroots season.
Becher is one of the quickest developing post players in the state. He’s made an early statement this spring with Rice Basketball Academy. Becher has always been tough as nails on D and a terrific rebounder. But he’s showing great improvement in his knowledge of, and ability to, get open in the paint. Becher is finding space and earning position early.
Parker is suiting up for Michigan Unified and is turning some heads. He had my attention early in high school season and his solid play just seems to continue. Parker is a bona fide shooter that’s dangerous from behind the arc. But his game is so much more than that. He’s a steady ball handler and a high IQ passer. Don’t forget that Parker is a true 2 way player as well.
Kangas should be considered a headline player for the Wisconsin Crusaders. He slides a bit under the radar being from way up north in Michigan, but he consistently shines and stands out during grassroots ball. Kangas can attack inside-out and outside-in and shows a ton of versatility as a forward. He can score with both power and touch.
Highlights
Dirschell can be found running with Young Hustle. If you look back to last year, he was one of the more improved players that I saw during grassroots season, with it coming to a culmination in Romeoville, Illinois at a Prep Hoops Circuit event. Dirschell has continued to develop as a player, becoming a true leader for Coldwater and continuing to diversify his game.
Mckinney will be playing the rest of this grassroots season with Peak Vision Elite. He’s a very underrated player in my opinion. Mckinney is very efficient with the ball and makes good decisions with it in his hands. He’s a very unselfish player that will pass up a look if a teammate has a better one. Mckinney is a 2 way player that brings effort and intensity to the defensive end of the floor.
