It’s always a joy to watch a young man that puts we over me. McKinney is willing to do the things and play the roles that may not show up in the stat sheet. He does these things, all while carrying what I believe is next level talent.

McKinney is a player that I’ve been high on for years. And I still am. He’s a very unselfish player that doesn’t force shots or need to be shot heavy to have an influence on a game. McKinney is willing to let his defense rule the day and he can defend on and off the ball.

Mckinney will be playing the rest of this grassroots season with Peak Vision Elite. He’s a very underrated player in my opinion. Mckinney is very efficient with the ball and makes good decisions with it in his hands. He’s a very unselfish player that will pass up a look if a teammate has a better one. Mckinney is a 2 way player that brings effort and intensity to the defensive end of the floor.

McKinney is a talented guard that I need to see play, as well as coaches at the next level. Stats don’t tell the story with this young man. He’s a gamer that’s willing to play whatever role his team needs. This season, McKinney has been solid on both ends, reliable with the ball, and a very good and effective passer.

“Ignore the number by his name” is a quote that fits here. Mckinney can flat out play. He’s a very good primary ball handler and will get the ball from A to B. Mckinney can get buckets, but is really intelligent about when he needs them as opposed to when his teammate needs to be fed the ball. Mckinney is a program player, the kind of young man you want representing your team.

McKinney just loves the game of basketball. You can tell when he hits the court that he sees it as a learning opportunity every time and is focused on his team and his coach.

McKinney is a player to watch out for in the state. Don’t let him take you by surprise. He can hit a jumper with 3 point range and has shown that he can hit it even when contested. Mckinney has shown nice touch on his floater as well.
