Peters was someone that I slept on before the season started this year and completely proved me wrong. He is a lot of what you want in a guard for the next level. He has good size and length for a guard. He is a good athlete who can do a little of it all. He is skilled and his best ability is his shooting ability. He is a sniper from beyond the arc. He is best in the corner catching and shooting it but he can knock it down on the move as well. He showed flashes of being able to pull it off the dribble, something that could take his game to the next level. He just has a smooth and pretty shot to watch. He does not just rely on the three though. He can get to the rim and finish with either hand. He does it more in transition when the lanes are more open.

McFadden caught my eye in the preseason this year with his play and continued to impress me every single time I saw him play. The most impressive game I saw this year was his game at Pickerington Central. He went off and was doing everything for them. He was the best player on the court for almost the entire game. He is a coach’s dream due to his high motor and willingness to do the dirty work. He changes games due to these two abilities because they end up making game-winning impacts. He can score the ball at the rim very well and is a good athlete. He is just all ball and the type of kid you want on your team.

Leach transferred to Whitmer this year and it was the best move for him. His first two years you just flashes of him being a really good player and Coach Anthony Stacey and Whitmer pulled it all out of him. He and West fed off each other perfectly. Leach played with a ton more freedom and showed off his high-volume scoring ability. He is super tough to stop from getting to the rim due to his length and shiftiness. He also showed a consistent jumper that opened up another part of his game. He was a great defender all year and made every player he defended work for everything. I expect Leach to carry this confidence into the AAU season and be someone people will be talking a lot about. He is a really good player and will display it again.
Roddy led a very good Harvest Prep team down to Dayton this year where they finished runner-ups for D2. He plays the point guard the correct way. He is the straw that stirs the drink for HP. He gets the offense started and gets them going. He plays with a great pace and rarely gets sped up unless he wants to. He always finds an open teammate and gets the ball out of his hands. He has the ball on a strong and can dribble by almost any defender. His addition of size is a big help for him. He dictates where he wants to go because he is bigger than many other point guards. I like the confidence he plays with. He is a good on-ball defender as well. Big fan of Roddy.
Johnson is the number one ranked Sophomore so how much can his stock rise? To me, his stock is extremely high but he added the next level to his game and it made him better. I am talking about his athletic ability. He has gone to another level with it. He used to be a long skinny freshman guard with immense skill. He still has that but is now a good athlete. Its made his game more efficient. This allows him to be better defensively because his hands are really good he is willing to take more risks and can recover. He can now get to the rim when he wants and does not just rely on his 3-point shooting. He has gained more range in his 3-point shooting. He is now attacking the rim with his head down and with aggression. He is now posterizing players. I think the older and bigger he gets his ceiling and floor continue to increase.
