Here we are reviewing some day one standouts at the Hardwood Classic and some round of 12 forwards with impactful performances.

[player_tooltip player_id='1685505' first='Malakai' last='Weimer'] | Skyview

Really patient and poised working down low for 11 points. Whipped out a quick spin move a few times but just had a good feel and timing on his moves inside, worked in some nice pump fakes to get opposing bigs in the air and open up space for good looks. Competed hard and came up with key rebounds late in the game, and also showed some of his defensive versatility matching up with bigs and perimeter players.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956182' first='Gavin' last='Perdue'] | Skyview

Did his job from outside staying ready to shoot and knocked in three big 3s. After he hit his third 3-pointer he caught the ball ready for another but the defense rotated quickly and left a man open in the corner. Perdue found him with the extra pass showing how his shooting can open things up for his teammates. Also chipped in seven big boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612261' first='Adam' last='Davis'] | Tahoma

He was on fire from the field, scoring a game-high 26 points on just 11 shots, including shooting a perfect 6-of-6 from 3PT. Strong kid with good body control and a smooth stroke, also impacted the game with 12 boards and three blocked shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612242' first='Jayden' last='Stephens'] | Tahoma

He's a powerful dude who ran the floor well, made a couple of key passes, and was just hustling all game long. Not a ton of counting stats (4 points, 7 rebounds) but made his presence felt by tipping passes, contesting shots, and playing physical defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450608' first='Ryan' last='McFerran'] | Jackson

Had another monster output, not bothered all that much by Tahoma's size and essentially matched his season averages in points and rebounds with 16 points and 17 boards. He was all over the glass and helped his team really push the Bears till the end. Also had a few steals getting his hands on passes inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='1863196' first='Ethan' last='Harris'] | Camas

Harris got it going in the first half with 11 points, hitting 3-of-4 3PT shots and racking up a few blocked shots. He tapered off a bit toward the end finishing with one more 3 and 14 total points, but showed early on what kind of dual-threat he can be with his shooting and defensive range.

[player_tooltip player_id='2375333' first='Zach' last='Albright'] | Glacier Peak

Just a terror on the glass and has the strength and focus to regularly put back second-chance shots. Had 14 points and 14 rebounds, seven of which came on the offensive glass. Not a kid who needs a lot of direct touches to make a huge impact and just an outstanding worker.
