Expert Analysis
Ryan Morgan | Prep Hoops Scout
Davis got out of the gates quick, making plays all over the court and attacking in multiple ways. He had two early steals, hit a couple outside shots, took what the defense gave him, dropping in some open mid-range buckets, and used his size to bully through the defense to the rim. He’s a really balanced player and also showed off some nice footwork and balance to maneuver through a clogged lane with euro steps and switching up the timing of his steps.

I think I’ve said it enough already, but Davis is a guy that makes so many plays in every form – passing, scoring, defensively, rebounding – that when he makes a bad play, you wonder what happened. He was big for the Bears in transition, beating guys down the floor with regularity, and was equally impressive in the half court, balancing his attack between perimeter jumpers and drives to the hoop. He also showed off some A1 passing and cemented the fact that his court vision is high-level.

The Tahoma forward made a splash last season as a reliable player across the board, making smart decisions, being efficient with the ball, and playing both inside and out. He’s looked a lot more confident and aggressive this spring and he could be ready to take a big step forward as an offensive threat this coming season.

Previous Rank: 97rnDavis has been a super consistent player for a Tahoma team that seemed to exceed expectations this season on their way to a 12-1 record in the NPSL and a round-of-12 appearance at the 4A state playoffs. He is a big kid that has a solidly fundamental game, rebounds exceptionally well, and can score from all over the court, though he excels from mid-range and in. He is one part of the Tahoma squad that returns next season with loads of talent and potential going forward.

He is another of the few returning players from Tacoma. Active. If I were to describe him with one word it would be active. He has a high ceiling as well with good size and athletic ability. He does a little bit of everything. He looks like an athletic player and he is. He can get hot from three as well but I was most impressed with how active he was and how active he can be. He can fill out a stat sheet.

Another of the few returning players who saw meaningful minutes last season on varsity. He is a good athlete with size. He runs the floor well and is active. He had a contested dunk on a fast break in the first game. He also knocks down threes, blocks shots, and rebounds. He is a a versatile player with great size to play inside and out. Tahoma had several other players who contributed in the title game. Unfortunately, I couldn’t track down any rosters.
