The Prep Hoops Illinois Spring Exposure Camp was held over the weekend in Aurora. We have wall to wall coverage of the event for you! Here I dive into the prospects that caught my attention on a pair of the 5 on 5 teams at the event in PHI Spring Exposure Camp: Team 5 and Team 6 Standouts!

Team 5 Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='1552447' first='Tyler' last='Thompson'] (Triad – 2026)

Thompson has a bright future. The 6'6” small forward brings a nice deal of size, skill, and athleticism to the table. Won on drives with both his right and left hand all day long. Explosive driver that accelerates with ease past his defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1561959' first='Jayson' last='Kowalski'] (Pius, WI – 2026)

This 6'1” guard from Wisconsin is a thick bodied shooter that let it fly from three. Plus spot up shooter that connected on them in bunches! Also could pull up from distance as well. One of the best shooters at the event. Mixed in some turnaround jumpers in the mid-range and a sweet left handed take.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552401' first='John' last='Vlahos'] (York – 2026)

Another plus shooter here. The guard drained an array of them in their game particularly feeling it from the corners. Also had a nice spin move for a score along with a put back.

Chase Dominy (IMG, FL – 2026)

Another Florida prospect that made the drive up. Dominy got in the lane consistently throughout the event scoring in the paint with a variety of acrobatic finishes. Also proved to be a solid shooter as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1874975' first='Jacob' last='Prahl'] (Tremper, WI – 2026)

This 6'2” shooting guard is a plus shooter that loved to hit them off the catch from the corners. Got on the offensive glass well for a guard and had a nice right handed take off the bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id='1874847' first='Michael' last='Allen'] (Metea Valley – 2026)

Allen stands at 6'0” playing taller than that with his length. Slick handles getting in the teeth of the defense for scoop shots, layups, and sweeping floaters. Also displayed some creativity as a passer finding his teammates with some nice dishes.

Team 6 Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='1552438' first='Mason' last='Lockett IV'] (Oswego East – 2026)

Lockett showed why he is one of the top wings in the Illinois 2026 class in this setting. The silky smooth wing has good positional size at 6'4” with a silky smooth offensive game. Feathery jump shooter raining in threes all game long when we saw him. Also showed a nice passing feel getting others involved. Can attack off the bounce with clean handles and use his length on the defensive end. Primed for a big spring!

Kingston Caldwell (Dominican, WI – 2026)

Caldwell played great next to Lockett. The 6'4” wing loved to put it on the deck especially going behind his back for scores at the rim. Threw down an alley-oop. Tight handles off the bounce, no look passes, and a three. Plays with a high motor and a lot of flair!

[player_tooltip player_id='2384772' first='AJ' last='Ivy'] (Romeoville – 2026)

Ivy is a 6'2” guard that was slick taking it off the bounce. Creative ball handler that can get to the rim and also had a sweet side step three.

[player_tooltip player_id='2217986' first='Trey' last='Nguyen'] (Niles West – 2026)

This Niles West 5'9” lead guard is a lefty that did most of his damage in the lane. Tough slasher converting scoop shots and soft touch finishes. Also stopped and popped on a regular basis from mid-range and stretched it out to three once. Fun player to watch!

[player_tooltip player_id='2389798' first='Kishawn' last='Gantt'] (Bremen – 2026)

Gantt had one of the plays of the year as the 5'6” point guard from Bremen launched a legit full court shot with one hand like a QB going right through the net. Everyone was in shock of the shot!
