Continue ReadingDeng Lueth – Lueth is a six-foot-ten-inch 2025 Center from Rochester John Marshall. Lueth for his size gets up and down the floor well, excellent motor. Tries to block every shot he’s close to. He can’t be bullied in the post. Lueth is solid in screen and roll as he screens hard and rolls well, giving his passing partner a good target for passes. Lueth is a monster rebounder inside, and finishes with a good two-footed jump. Areas of improvement are the feel of the game, and developing post moves inside as his size advantage won’t always exist versus everybody.
Luke Schroeder Luke Schroeder 5'9" | PG Shakopee | 2027 State MN – Schroeder is a 2027 guard from Shakopee. Schroeder, who I saw at the Northstar State Tournament in June playing for Team Tyus, looks more mature and taller. Same knock down shooter. Schroeder has deep range and is a threat anytime he has a look at the rim. In the showcase he showed ability to be the lead ball handler, but he also can play off the ball and slide into slots.
Chase Sheldon Chase Sheldon 6'1" | PG Elk River | 2026 MN – Sheldon is a six-foot-one-inch guard from Elk River. Sheldon put quite the shooting display in the 5-on-5 game hitting six 3’s. Sheldon, who I saw a few years ago, has grown a bit giving him much more advantage at the lead guard position. Sheldon moves fluidly around the floor and keeps his head up looking to push the ball.
Izayah Cook Izayah Cook 6'4" Sauk Rapids - Rice | 2027 MN – Cook is a six-foot-five-inch 2027 forward from Sauk-Rapids that will play AAU this spring and summer with Adidas D1 Minnesota . Cook has great ability on the wing with the ball in his hands offensively, and because of his size at a young age, he has to play a lot in the post. Cook’s potential is certainly a hybrid forward as slow-footed big’s won’t be able to stay in front of him. On the perimeter Cook showcased a smooth shooting stroke and good range. As a passer sometimes a bit flashy but he is an adequate passer. An area of improvement would be moving the ball a little more.
Isiah Ayala Isiah Ayala 6'6" | SF Minnesota Prep | 2025 MN – Ayala a 2025 wing from Minnesota Prep and plays AAU with JSizzle impressing with his athleticism and ability to play on the wing. At six-foot-six-inches, Ayala has a lot of potential as a multiple position defender, and can really play either the wing position of the secondary guard spot. He’s a player to keep an eye on as growth could make him a dangerous prospect.
Willis Crudup Willis Crudup 6'0" | PG Osseo | 2025 State MN – Crudup is a six-foot 2025 guard from Osseo. Crudup seems to be in the mold of Osseo guards before him, quick, speedy, and a pesky defender. Crudup got in the painted area often, and finished with an array of lay-ups. True point-guard tye looking often for teammates for buckets.
Brian ZarazuaJr Brian ZarazuaJr 6'3" | PG Moorhead | 2025 State MN – Zarazua is a 2025 six-foot-three-inch guard from Moorhead. Zarazua had one of the most impressive blocks in this game meeting the offensive player right at the rim. Zarazua showcased a bit of ability with the ball using dribble drive to get to the rim for scores.
Colin Kirk Colin Kirk 6'7" | PF Eden Prairie | 2025 State MN – Kirk is a six-foot-eight-inch center from Eden Prairie and Minnesota Heat Academic. Kirk was good at stretching the floor knocking down outside shots. He didn’t seem to do anything outside of his range, so no forcing or dribbling too much. Kirk also screened hard and rolled and rebounded his position well.
Marcus Horton Marcus Horton 6'1" | SG Bloomington Jefferson | 2025 State MN Jr – Horton is a six-foot-one-inch guard from Bloomington Jefferson. Horton seems to have matured a bit since last season in size and growth with the ball in his hands. Still a strong jump shooter with a solid shot motion.
