Not only are current seniors visiting, committing and planning their collegiate futures, many of them are still putting their talents on display for college coaches. The Fullcourt Press Diamond in the Rough showcase brought in some of the top unsigned seniors in SoCal and below we break down some of the top performers.
Aliaun Iscandari Aliaun Iscandari 6'1" | PG Campbell Hall | 2024 State CA-S | Campbell Hall
The 6-foot lefty had a great senior campaign and recently announced he’s doing a post-grad year back east at Choate Rosemary Hall. Nevertheless, Iscandari is a guard that college programs should track now and over the next year as his explosive athleticism and ability to get downhill to the rim and finish through and over contact is impressive.
Alijah Adem Alijah Adem 6'2" | PG Spring Valley | 2024 State #174 Nation NV | Spring Valley (NV)
The 6-foot-1 combo guard is a crafty scorer whose creativity with the ball, ability to change speed and direction and three-point and mid-range shooting abilities make him a multi-level scorer who is tough to guard. Adem’s dynamic scoring ability and strong academic resume could make him an interesting late-add to the right program.
Amare Campbell Amare Campbell 6'0" | PG Etiwanda | 2024 State CA-S | Etiwanda
Campbell is coming off of a season in which he was one of the main two options on a good Etiwanda team. The strong, quick and athletic lefty will make his mark on the defensive end at the next level as his instincts, quick hands, and high IQ team defensive attributes will translate quickly. Campbell is also a blur of a transition athlete who can get to the rim and finish through contact.
Jacob Bayla Jacob Bayla 6'5" | SG Valley Christian | 2024 State CA-S | Valley Christian
Bayla has an impressive combination of size, skill with the ball and pure shooting ability that makes us believe he is a viable option to contribute at the next level. The 6-foot-4 off-guard gets great lift on his jump shot which he can knock down both off the catch and off the bounce. Bayla also has the feel and playmaking IQ to play on the ball as a primary ball handler and creator.
Kendyl Sanders Kendyl Sanders 6'6" | PF St. Bernard | 2024 State CA-S | St. Bernard
Sanders is one of our top remaining ranked players on the board in SoCal. The 6-foot-7 forward is a face-up style prospect who can attack on right hand drives from 15-feet and out but also has the touch to knock down open mid-range shots when the defense sags off of him. There aren’t a lot of guys left with the size, skill and mobility Sanders has so It will be interesting to see how the spring and summer go for him.
