With the high school season wrapped up and freshman getting their first season's out of the way, here are some players that caught my eye in the newly updated 2027 Prep Hoops WA rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='2412798' first='Tycen' last='Haij'] - Skyview HS - Tycen is a shifty guard who rebounds well for his size. His high motor helps him get loose balls and push the pace of the game well. His deep shot is consistent, as he can hit 3-5 threes in any given game. His athleticism is improving as time goes on and his game will become more well rounded before next year starts.

[player_tooltip player_id='1936885' first='Edison' last='Kan'] - Bellevue Christian HS - Edison did a great job at facilitating the offense when I watched him play live, showing elite speed and ability to change the pace of the game quickly. The angles he uses coming off screens and going downhill is impressive and also stood out to me. He is a top player in the class already, but I could still see him rising as the years go on.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140818' first='Jack' last='Thompson'] - Shorecrest HS - Here is a player that just towers over players his own age, for the most part. Jack stands at 6'8" and has a strong frame down in the paint. He is relentless on the boards and boxes out opposing players easily, grabbing rebounds with no problem. Thompson has great footwork down low and can finish at a high level. If he adds a deep shot to his game, high level coaches will want to have an eye on Jack.

[player_tooltip player_id='2375385' first='Jalen' last='Davis'] - Bremerton HS - Jalen has the makings of a Division 1 basketball player. It might be early to say that, but Davis was very impressive in my eyes. He showcased the ability to score from all 3 levels, including displaying an elite mid-range shot. He gets to the rim, with either hands, using shifty moves to get by defenders. Davis has lengthy arms which help him on the defensive side too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2182748' first='Hunter' last='Calloway'] - Squalicum HS - Hunter jumped into his freshman year being a top player / offensive option for the Storm instantly. He plays alongside junior [player_tooltip player_id='2817011' first='Marcus' last='Nixon'] nicely, being able to handle the ball or get open off ball. Calloway has an elite mid-range shot, backing down opposing players and being able to hit fade-aways at a high level. Be on the watch for this 2027 guard/wing.
