Atop the small forward/wing spot and at the No. 1 overall spot remains Myers Park High’s Sadiq White Jr Sadiq White Jr 6’8″ | SF Myers Park | 2025 State #56 Nation NC .. He had himself a breakout season of sorts in leading the Mustangs in scoring (16.9 PPG) while also recording 5.4 RPG, 1.8 BPG, 1.5 APG and 1.2 SPG. He showed improvements in his aggressiveness attacking the painted area with his length/athleticism in his junior season. He’s still got room to develop his perimeter game after shooting 68 percent from the field on the year and attempting just four 3-pointers. Look for him to take the next step this spring/summer on the grassroots stage as a number of high-major suitors continue to monitor his status.

Mikey Wilkins Mikey Wilkins 6’8″ | PF Christ School | 2025 State #66 Nation NC checks in at the top power forward spot and he’s also the No. 2 prospect in the latest rankings update for the 2025 class. He’s another versatile prospect though his primary position is the power forward role given his ability to be an outlet at the stretch-forward position. He took home a state title in his move to Christ School in 2023-24 while producing 13.4 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 2.8 APG, 1.4 SPG and 1.1 BPG on the year. He took home MVP honors in their state championship victory over Providence Day in the NCISAA 4A State Championship. He’s another high-major target in the frontcourt for college programs to target in the state of North Carolina.
Eli Ellis Eli Ellis 6’1″ | PG Moravian Prep | 2025 State NC checks in at the No. 1 point guard position and No. 3 in the overall rankings following another year with Moravian Prep/YNG Dreamerz on the OTE stage. He took home MVP honors in the OTE behind strong production of 33.4 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 5.1 APG and 1.8 SPG to lead his squad to a 12-5 record and a No. 1 finish in the regular season. He’ll be a face to keep an eye on in the very near future with the South Carolina Gamecocks with another spring/summer on the horizon to terrorize opposing backcourts.
Colt Langdon Colt Langdon 6’7″ | SG Millbrook | 2025 State #114 Nation NC takes over the top shooting guard spot in the latest rankings update while remaining at No. 4 overall in the class. Langdon remains a lethal presence in the Millbrook High perimeter attack after producing 26.5 PPG, 10.1 RPG, 1.7 APG and 1.6 BPG in his junior season as the Wildcats won the NAC6 regular-season and conference tournament championship. He shot 48 percent from the field and 36 percent from deep while leading the NAC 6 in 3-pointers made in 2023-24. He’s a prospect with offers from a few different high-major and mid-major suitors as he joins Team United on the EYBL this grassroots season.

Jackson Keith Jackson Keith 6’6″ | CG Southern Durham | 2025 State #84 Nation NC is the top combo guard prospect to get to know and the No. 5 overall prospect in the 2025 rankings. He’s quite the burden for opposing backcourts in the class at 6-foot-6 with a knack for attacking the painted area off the bounce and rebounding the ball in bunches. He put up 19.7 PPG, 7.6 RPG, 2.0 APG and 1.0 BPG on the year while shooting 62 percent from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range during the regular season in leading the Spartans to a Northern Lakes Conference regular-season and conference tournament title. He’s been a name to know on the PH radar for a long time as a high-major prospect out of the Durham area given his efficiency scoring the ball and strong frame.
Trent Steinour Trent Steinour 6’10” | C Lake Norman | 2025 State #140 Nation NC is the final prospect we take a look at the top center position and No. 6 overall prospect in the 2025 rankings. He’s currently looking to anchor Lake Norman High to a state title bid as they square off with North Mecklenburg in the 4A West Region Finals of the NCHSAA State Playoffs. He’s quite the rim protector and finisher around the rim on the hardwood, averaging 15.7 PPG, 10.4 RPG and 4.3 BPG while ranking eighth in the state in blocks, according to MaxPreps. He’s another high-profile name in the state of North Carolina who’s set to blow up as a name to know this spring/summer on the grassroots scene.
