This article highlights some guys who made the biggest jumps outside the top 100 in our final rankings update for the 2024 class.
Burnette has jumped over 40 spots in the rankings up to 132 as he made his presence known in the backcourt for Wakefield HS all season long. Before their 2nd round exit to Green Level in the 4A state tournament, he averaged 17.3 PPG, 5.3 RPG, and 5.6 APG as a consummate distributor as well as leader of the offense as a whole. College programs in the area should be monitoring him closely and looking to him as a late addition in their recruiting classes.
Ward is a scrappy point guard who is another late mover in our rankings, moving up 24 spots to 143rd place in our final rankings. He averaged 9.1 PPG, 3.8 APG, and 3.1 RPG as a primary ball-handler alongside his other teammates in the backcourt. He’s tough, in your nose on defense, and always looking to poke the ball away or disrupt you on that end of the floor. He’s someone that could be impactful at the college level as a defense-first guard.
Highlights
Adewumi played an important connecting role for Knightdale this year as Coach Antonio Watson’s team made huge strides in his first year at the school. This is why he’s moved up to 191st in the rankings, up from 246 in our last update. He only averaged 5 PPG, but played an important role as a hustle guy and dirty work player that looked to get involve at both ends of the floor. A great high school player and potential college guy with his size at the forward spot.
Jones had a big time year for RJ Reynolds, as the senior came in from QEA and posted a season long stat line of 22 PPG, 6 RPG and 3 APG for the Demons. He was one of the most impactful guards in the 336 public school ranks, and deserves his 50+ spot jump to 232nd in our rankings. He’s shifty and dynamic with an ability to shoot it at multiple levels of the floor. Since it’s his only season with this level of production, there’s still more to learn about him, but he is a definite guy who deserves a college look.
Daniels has been an outstanding running mate to Top 5 2025 prospect Jackson Keith Jackson Keith 6’6″ | CG Southern Durham | 2025 State #84 Nation NC all season long for Southern Durham, averaging over 15 PPG and 62 made threes on the season at a 42% clip. As the stats show, he’s an elite shooter who will win games with his shotmaking from the perimeter, both off the catch and on the bounce. He has four total offers already, but he should pick up some more late as he becomes an attractive college piece.
Rhyne is a W&L commit and will immediately bring a sharpshooting presence to their team, which is why he jumped up over 70 spots in our new rankings update. He averaged 8.6 PPG, 3.9 APG and made 62 threes on the season as part of a NCISAA 3A state runner up team at Gaston Christian. He is a knockdown shooter with a growing ability to make plays with the ball in his hands for other teammates. Impact D3 guy who will contribute early.
