Below is a review of underclassmen breakout prospects from SEPA.

Darrell Davis – 5'11” / 2027 / Archbishop Carroll / Team Takeover / Combo Guard: Davis is a high IQ, Swiss Army knife guard prospect. In 2023-24 he started every game for Carroll and helped push the squad to the 4A state title game. Davis is speedy, owns tight handles and can get downhill in a flash. Those assets enable Davis to attack the rim to score or distribute. He also possesses a feathery jump shot, so he can splash threes from all over the court (33% on 3PA). Davis is a plus defender who produces a host steals and deflections each game. He is a solid rebounding guard too. As a freshman, Davis posted 11.7 points; 5 rebs, 4 assists and 2 steals per night.

[player_tooltip player_id='2247339' first='Christian' last='Matos'] – 5'10” / 2026 / Methacton / [program_tooltip program_id='2078678' first='East' last='Coast Power'] / Combo Guard: This three-level scorer burst onto the scene with a fantastic sophomore season that garnered him 1st team All-PAC (Liberty Div.) honors. Matos (17.4 ppg.) is a lefty with unlimited range on his jumper and a quick trigger. Thus, opposing teams need to start guarding him at half court. This season Matos knocked down 67 triples and shot 40% from behind the arc. When he is not lacing treys, Matos uses his quickness and crafty dribble skills to produce buckets in the open court. This season Matos poured in 26 points (3 threes) in a win versus Wissahickon as well as 24 points (4 threes) against Plymouth Whitemarsh.

[player_tooltip player_id='2056714' first='Ryan' last='Warren'] – 6'6” / 2026 / Academy of New Church / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] UAA / Small Forward: In 2023-24 this sophomore displayed a more polished face up game and an improved ability to attack the rim off the dribble. Plus, this winter Warren flashed a short-range jumper. The development of those skill sets took Warren's game to another level. Of course, Warren remains a fast break phenom who can finish with authority. He also continued work the offensive glass for points. This season Warren averaged 11.6 points, 6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per contest. Warren's double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds (2 blocks as well) versus Friends Central was an attention-grabbing performance.
