Brown made sure to extend his high school career by putting on an absolute masterclass in how to control a game from the point guard position. The experienced senior pushed all the right buttons on his way to 24 points, 6 assists, and 0 turnovers, putting the game away late with a series of crafty drives to the rim. He did a great job of keeping the ball moving on time and on target, setting teammates up for easy shots to open up his own scoring. Brown was able to keep things honest from the perimeter but really impressed with his ability to get downhill as a resilient driver, playing strong and balanced off two feet in the paint t finish among the trees. His bothersome on-ball defense served as the cherry on top. The southpaw should be sure to save this game film as it serves as a perfect audition tape for scholarship-level coaches.

The most consistent piece to a multiyear build that now sees E&S enter the year as one of the league’s primary contenders, Brown has been a starter and key contributor since he was a freshman, leading the team in scoring each of the past two seasons. What he lacks in size, the southpaw makes up for in grit, moxie, and on-ball skill. He’s a dynamic scoring threat with the ball in his hands given his crafty handle, quick first step, and comfortable range out to the arc on his pullup. While he’s been tasked with a heavy scoring load, he shows the ability to be unselfish and make proper passing reads when he draws extra eyes from the defense. While his size may hold back programs at the scholarship level from pulling the trigger, Brown is the exact type of guard who’s been known to thrive at any number of the region’s more competitive small-college programs.

Brown is an electric off the dribble scoring guard who during the spring, repeatedly grabbed the attention of college coaches. Brown’s quick bursts, circus handles and instincts get him to the front of the rim with ease. Once there, his finishing skills take over and allow him to score through contact or with a creative touch. He can convert off the glass from multiple angles. When Brown attacks the paint and then gets swarmed by the help defense, he will smartly kick out to open shooters or slip a dime to a cutting teammate. Brown can also use his elusive dribbles to get to his mid-range spots for pull ups. Defensively, Brown is a menacing on-ball presence.

Last week at the Philly Clash event Brown put on an electric performance as he scored off the dribble at will. Thus, it was not a surprise that Brown was one of the most outstanding guards at the Pitt Jam Fest as the up and down style of play fits his skill set perfectly. Over the weekend, Brown’s speed, circus handles and ability to finish at the rim were on full display. Despite being undersized, Brown (playing for Mt. Pleasant Bulldogs ) showed no fear as he repeatedly drove in among the trees and the scored through contact or with a creative flair. His ability to kiss tough shots off the glass was especially impressive. When the help defense blocked his path to the rim, Brown smartly dropped the ball to the dunker spot or kicked out to open shooters.

is going to be a problem for PPL opponents this winter. Brown is a ridiculously quick guard who destroyed defenders at the Black Cager event off the bounce. This weekend he displayed filthy change of direction handles. His change of speed moves were impressive too. Because of his quick first step, Brown’s straight line were unstoppable as well. When Brown was not getting to the rim in transition and in the half-court, he was splashing threes from all around the arc. Brown’s ability to drain triples off the dribble is next level.

After a decent freshman campaign, 2023-24 has served as Brown’s breakout season. This season Brown was a member of the starting five at E&S and averaged 15.4 points, 2 assists as well as 2.5 steals per game. During his sophomore year Brown shot 39% from behind the arc. He posted multiple 30-point games this year. Included in that list of scoring outbursts was a 32-point (6 threes) game against Simon Gratz. Brown is lightening quick and ridiculously elusive. So, he thrives in the open court. In the half-court, Brown can produce points at all three levels.
