Last season was will be hard to top but The Class of 2025 is starting to take shape and we saw a lot of players make a significant jump in their level of play in all classifications across the state. Let’s take a sneak peak of what is just around the corner.
Top Dog
It is no surprise that The Utah Prospects will be a the top dog in the state and they have even made the Top 10 in a few early grassroots rankings. Last season the briught home the mythical circuit championship on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit. This years team looks a lo different but they will have some dudes. Local players that should have a stock rising spring and summer are:
Chamberlain Burgess Chamberlain Burgess 6'9" | PF Lone Peak | 2025 State #214 Nation UT || Lone Peak High School
Burgess is not only a big that runs the floor from block to blovk. he has developed a nice touch 15 feet and beyond. He is an exceptional rim protector and will be playing the 4 at around 6’10.
John Southwick John Southwick 6'3" | SG Utah Prep | 2025 State #234 Nation UT || Utah Prep ||
Southwick might be one of the most feared shooters on the circuit and if you do not read the scouting report he will light the whole team up up because he can spray it from everywhere.
The Utah Prospects have also partnered with Utah Jazz big man Walker Kessler and will also be known at Team Kessler. A lot of new faces have been added like Tyrin Jones Tyrin Jones 6'9" | CG Layton Christian | 2025 State UT who is in his second stunt with them but this time around he wil really provide wing length and depth. They have added the #1 player in New Mexico Jallin Holland who is a Top 50 kid in the class of 2025. Jax Allen Jax Allen 6'4" | CG Orem | 2025 State #391 Nation UT from Orem comes back tp help the team at the guard position. The player that everyone is excited ot see is Ikenna Alozie on of the best guards in the country in The Class of 2026. He currently plays for Dream City and he is electric.
New Teams
Team BWILL
Byron Wilson will turn The Salt Lake Legends will be playing under B-Will now and will run on the Puma Circuit along with a few other teams in the state. Excited to see some growth from players like:

Utah Legacy will also run on the Puma Circuit, here are a few players to watch.

Utah Prime
It’s crazy how quickly this new program was able to nab some really good players. Here are some of the players that you need to keep an eye on. this team will play on the Adidas West Gold Circuit.

Top Notch Teams
Here are some of the teams that were impressive last season and are coming back with some of that same energy.
The Rebels always put together a team that ca play an uptempo brand of basketball that has a mixture of shooting and post play. They will field a few 17U teams and here are some players we anticipate will be players to watch.

Noah Bendinger Noah Bendinger 6'3" | CG Corner Canyon | 2025 State UT || Corner Canyon ||
The Gold team was the talk of the 3SGB Circuit East. Not only did they play at a high level, they were able to place kids at the D1 level. Here are players to watch on their team at the 17U level.
Coleman Atwater Coleman Atwater 6'3" | PG Davis | 2025 State UT over at Davis was solid and he is a player that can be on the ball but is deadly off the ball as a shooter. Hunter Jackson Hunter Jackson 6'3" | PG Woods Cross | 2025 State UT over at Woods Cross provides a steady ball handler that can score but gets the ball to the right places and teh right players in scoring position. Alan Gballou Alan Gballou 6'7" | PF Layton Christian | 2025 State UT might be a kid that blows up this sprig and summer as he is force! Keep and eye on Ike Staley Ike Staley 6'6" | SG Lone Peak | 2025 State UT and Carson Smith Carson Smith 6'6" | CG Bountiful | 2024 State UT .
Stars UAA
Although they have not posted their roster they usually have a handful of Utah kids that are the corner stone of that program. Bradley Easton Bradley Easton 6'5" | SG Brighton | 2025 State UT is one of them and this kid can flat out shoot the ball as he showed everyone at state.
SUSA
SUSA put together a fun roster last grassroots season and they should be able to capture a lot of the kids down south and make a competitive team.
