This kid is too shifty to face-guard, he is too quick to not have help defenders ready and he is skilled getting downhill. I think a few teams missed out on him but green River College will get a kid that will earn his minutes right off the bat. He had a tough game against Bingham and was a player that was just scoring at will in so many ways.

Valdes is a D2/NAIA prospect as he has had a few of those schools offer and reach out. He also has some options at the NWAC level. Regardless what school he ends up at they will get a hard woking do what you need to win lead guard.

Valdes is one of many under-recruited players. He has everything youy would need from a PG. He has the quickness and he has the pass first mentality. He hits open three’s in the offense when the ball is moving. He defends well on the ball and he can be a nightmare to defend in the open floor. He has been getting D2 looks and he is set to have a huge year.
