Tuesday night is THE night for hoops across the nation! Here are the top match-ups in Minnesota with a prediction to go with them.

7AAA Benilde-St. Margaret's at 9AAAA Waconia

Ron Lee vs Will McDonald. These are the role playing guards for each team. Both will defend a top scoring option.

[player_tooltip player_id='1572691' first='Jaleel' last='Donley'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1560741' first='Will' last='Kirsch']. Donley is scoring 17 a game while doing a lot of the BSM playmaking. Kirsch is scoring 20 a game and seems to be growing daily. Division one schools are starting to chatter on Kirsch, the sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284155' first='Jayden' last='Daisy'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1969343' first='Gavin' last='Olson']. In a lot of ways Olson's fight and growth are the heart of the Cats. He is scoring nearly 18 a contest while Daisy is scoring 15 a game. Strong two guards. Daisy had 22 the last time these teams played.

[player_tooltip player_id='1574215' first='Abu' last='Keita'] vs Christian Fulford. Keita will likely defend Olson while Fulford is more of an undersized five man that does a lot of paint work.

[player_tooltip player_id='1572689' first='Jalen' last='Wilson'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1434056' first='Jackson' last='Hayes']. Wilson leads BSM with 20 a night, Hayes scores 15 a game. Both can play back to the basket or face up and score. Hayes had 31 the last team he played the Knights.

Prediction. This game is really interesting. BSM's early season losing streak (to a monster list of top teams) had people forgetting about them BUT they undefeated in Metro West play three games out in front of second place (Waconia). These are ranked teams. BSM likely travels out to Waconia with that comfortable lead but knowing they have to stay hot. The Cats need this win badly to have any tiny chance of catching BSM. I say home team (Cats) by one.

2AAA Mankato East at 8AA Mankato West

[player_tooltip player_id='1437303' first='Brogan' last='Madson'] vs Landon Stimler. A couple of all state, all league, all Mankato players of different types. Stimler is 6'4/6'5 and is the main scoring option for West but he also spends a lot of time running the offense. Madson is looking for a second straight Big Nine Player of the Year award as the playmaker for the second best team in Class AAA (and hoping for more).

[player_tooltip player_id='2103251' first='Ganden' last='Gosch'] vs Emmett Olson. Gosch is the 6'5 skilled, strong, third scoring option for East and he will likely see a lot of Stimler. Olson is the do it all, do whatever is asked, play a lot of roles worker for West who likely will run into Madson.

[player_tooltip player_id='1441838' first='Manaow' last='Omot'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='2424016' first='Maurice' last='Staley']. Both players score in that 11/12 a game spot as starters. Staley is quite athletic and a good defender who could also be on Madson. Omot can score inside and out.

Prediction. East won the first game by a dozen. I expect something a bit similar this time around, I will see East by ten.

Southwest Christian at Holy Family

[player_tooltip player_id='2103376' first='Brayden' last='Beckering'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1284180' first='Luke' last='Graff']. Love the toughness that Beckering brings. He is a junior guard that once again leads Southwest in scoring. Graff is similar sized and a very good match-up against Beckering.

[player_tooltip player_id='2175457' first='Isaac' last='Tollefson'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1287442' first='Kole' last='Hanson']. Tollefson is a combo guard who really shoots it well. Has come back from injury nicely. He and his team will have to defend [player_tooltip player_id='1287442' first='Kole' last='Hanson'] who is an explosive scorer putting up 24 points a night.

[player_tooltip player_id='1442578' first='Mason' last='Wood'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1284091' first='Brayden' last='Carlson']. Wood is an active and agile lower post player that runs well and will get his 6'6 length on the 6'10 Carlson.

Prediction. The Fire have won seven of nine with wins vs four ranked teams and the two losses by one score. Southwest played Belle Plaine just last night in a tough battle. The Fire won the first game by 19, tonight they win by a dozen.

8AA Crosby-Ironton at 7AA Esko

[player_tooltip player_id='1284152' first='James' last='Stokman'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1961792' first='Dalton' last='Spindler']. Stokman and Spindler are both 6'2 versatile players that can do a lot for their teams. Stokman will need to score more for CI to make things work.

Noah Larson vs [player_tooltip player_id='2093687' first='Makoi' last='Perich']. Larson is the CI near double double hard working guy. Tonight he will need all of that and then some against 20 & 12 Perich.

Prediction. Esko has lost six games but only one to locals (Cherry). I see Esko winning by seven.

2AAAA Minnetonka at Edina

[player_tooltip player_id='1288767' first='Greyson' last='Uelmen'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1284163' first='Josiah' last='Coleman']. Greyson leads Tonka in scoring and in the big win over TG he led with 31 points! He's letting everybody know that he is also an all state level talent. Coleman leads Edina in scoring.

Prediction. Edina won the last game by one but Tonka will be motivated for revenge and win by six.
