Continue ReadingSpann has been about as consistent as at any point in his career, particularly inside the arc. Effectively picking his spots for drives through contests or contact, the forward remains one of the state’s most troublesome shotmakers, bringing the necessary physical tools for the next level. He holds offers from MSU Denver and Black Hills State.
Caldwell is unlike any other player in the state, given his efficiency behind the arc at 56%. His wide reach makes him a valuable help side defender or in post. The 6’10 forward holds offers from MSU Denver, Harding, and Northwest Nazarene.
The big man is a brick wall in the post, although most productive on the glass this season. His sturdy frame and willing reactions around the paint have helped propel Vista Peak into one of the state’s most formidable programs. He holds a variety of juco offers from Southeast CC, Missouri State West Plains, Phoenix College, McCook, and D3 program Buena Vista.
Asp has done nothing but consistently rise each update over the past 18 months, improving his perimeter game and in turn amplifying his athletic talents. They are effective above the rim, not fazed by incoming contests. Asp holds an offer from Adams State down in Alamosa.
Pulliam still has the skill to play on the collegiate level, featuring greater efficiency on three point attempts alongside refined footwork inside the paint. He brings particularly soft touch on shot attempts at his size, certainly one of the most skilled forwards in the state.
The forward has found success as a rim runner and budding face-up shooter. There is no doubt Sylla has added scoring versatility over the past 12 months, especially with a greater volume of mid-range shot attempts and soft finishes through opponent contact. The forward has garnered offers from Clackamas College, Shasta College, and Trinidad State.
Lyons has been a dependable two-way option with 11-10 Cherry Creek, leveraging his wide reach to impact the game in many areas. Effective matching up 2-4, Lyons brings a mold of wiry strength and agility for his position. Offensively, he can knock down the open jumper and has found growth in recognizing driving lanes.
Domsch has provided immense value to 15-6 Legacy, consistently a threat to finish above the rim. His verticality goes both ways, keeping opposing drivers honest should they attempt a shot in the paint. Offensively, Domsch has been fairly consistent knocking down open threes, further opening up driving lanes for the forward.
Highlights
Dixon has been a key interior presence for one of the state’s top programs in 19-2 Valor Christian. Certainly bringing a low center of gravity and notable verticality, he has been instrumental protecting the paint for this relatively undersized team. A swiss army knife on the defensive side, Dixon should be taken a look at by D3 and Juco programs.
Another above the rim athlete, Dante has continued to add to his athleticism and strength over the past 12 months. Dante’s defensive value cannot be overlooked either, a consistent threat on the glass and is a reactive help side defender. Dante holds a variety of division 3 offers, only a matter of time until a final decision.
