Recently became the all-time leading scorer at his high school, Casenhiser battled an early season injury to break the record. A prospect I got to see a ton on the Prep Hoops Circuit, Casenhiser plays with an excellent motor and can fill it up from the outside. Lots of college coaches have commented about players not wanting to win or compete, I can promise that won’t be an issue with Casenhiser. Worthy of getting scholarship interest, Casenhiser would be a steal at the Division III level and likely an instant impact player at that level.
A point guard who helps his team win, Martin does the dirty work on both ends of the court. A good on-ball defender who is tough and sets the table for his teammates, Martin plays an old-school style of play that college coaches will enjoy coaching. His teammate Dallas Tucker Dallas Tucker 5’11” | PG Westerville Central | 2024 State OH is another one of the top available point guards in the state. The difference in styles for their game mean coaches could watch film on both of these players and pick their cup of tea. Martin has posted one offer from Wheaton while Tucker has posted one from Capital University.
A guard who I’ve been high on for a while now, Zapolnik has continued his rise as a senior with some big time performances for Saint Ignatius. Comfortable running the show or deferring to his Division I committed teammates, Zapolnik is a high feel point guard with some real ability off the bounce as a slasher and shooter. His impact on both ends of the court for one of the top teams in the state suggests to me that he’s a scholarship level talent. At the moment a handful of Division III schools are his only posted offers. I’ll be curious who makes a late push for Zapolnik as he’s one of my favorite available recruits in Ohio.
A point guard who has played in a ton of big games, Turner is a guy every diehard basketball fan in Ohio knows about. Turner showed his adaptability as a table setter as a Sophomore and Junior then turning into more of a scorer as a senior after the Tigers graduated a ton of talented seniors. Turner has good touch on his shots and takes care of the basketball. A kid who also rises to the moment, Turner won’t be afraid of the bright lights at the next level. Receiving interest from a variety of levels, Division II, NAIA and Division III programs have shown interest in the Pick Central floor general.
A skilled scoring guard who has helped build the Worthington Kilbourne program up next to Aidan Gallogly Aidan Gallogly 6’3″ | SF Worthington Kilbourne | 2024 State OH , a Denison commit. Lewis can put the ball in the bucket, hitting contested shots off the bounce and as a driver. Capable of going off in a single game setting, Lewis might be able to help his team pull off a playoff upset this season. Lewis’ dad was also a standout at Ohio State, showing the talent in his bloodlines. Lewis is one of the more talented available senior point guards in the state.
