Teammates in the backcourt for Nova-Boyd, Tucker and Reynald are examples of players that can use their quickness and self-creation abilities at the high school level as well as on the grassroots scene. With 26 points in a road win at Hilliard Bradley, Tucker has his marquee performance of the early season. On a Warhawks team with a lot of depth and talent, it’ll be interesting to see how they play as the season progresses. On a team with a handful of college level senior prospects that remain uncommitted, Westerville Central is a must-see team for small college coaches around the region.

This duo was active early in the morning with Tucker using his shiftiness to get to the bucket at will. Tucker is a tough cover in isolations with his ability to get downhill and finish at the rim. Reynald was knocking down more perimeter shots and had a transition dunk to help seal the win. This Nova squad went 2-0 today with their second win coming by just a point. With a guard duo as experienced as this pair is in big games it’s no surprise they came in clutch late.

Tucker is the third new guard from Westerville Central added to our rankings and has the most on-ball creation ability of the trio. Tucker has the ball on a string and can get to the paint whenever he wants. If Tucker can improve his play-making ability and use his dribble-drive game to kick out to open shooters, the Warhawks will be very tough to defend in 2022-23. Tucker is another talented guard who doesn’t let his size prevent him from finishing at the rim over bigger shot blockers.
