This duo was active early in the morning with Tucker using his shiftiness to get to the bucket at will. Tucker is a tough cover in isolations with his ability to get downhill and finish at the rim. Reynald was knocking down more perimeter shots and had a transition dunk to help seal the win. This Nova squad went 2-0 today with their second win coming by just a point. With a guard duo as experienced as this pair is in big games it’s no surprise they came in clutch late.
Another weekend where Bartchak was providing a big scoring punch for Next Level Basketball. Playing almost a Jamal Crawford role off the bench, Bartchak is instant offense when he comes into the game. Always in attack mode, he’s capable of making 3-pointers within 25 feet of the rim and can attack a closeout. A microwave scorer, Bartchak has had an impressive spring and is worthy of small college interest.

Vann is an unsigned 2023 prospect playing with OBC and he was a key part in their comeback against Next Level Basketball tonight. I really was impressed by his competitiveness and aggressiveness he played with. It seemed like every loose ball ended up in Vann’s hands and his size and strength allowed him to score at the rim. With his ability to attack off the bounce he was finding ways to set teammates up when the defense collapsed. OBC made a crazy comeback and more of their players will be spotlighted as weekend coverage wraps up, but Vann stood out to me in one of the closest contests of the weekend.
DeBrosse is a natural scorer and has had some big scoring games this summer, Saturday night was no different. A guard who can make shots off the catch or the bounce, defenses don’t want to give him any space to shoot. I was also impressed by his finishing ability with his off hand at the rim. It’s also clear DeBrosse has taken a leap since the high school season and should be one of the better guards in the GMC as a senior.
