Lombrano continues to produce from the perimeter for Longmont, among the better shooters within that 2026 class. His production will be essential against a rangy defensive minded group at Northfield.
Mead #8 versus Palmer #9
McLawrence’s defense will be important to slow down whichever matchup necessary to contain. Possessing a wide reach, the guard can score past contests with ease when presented a driving lane.
Mike’s perimeter defense will be essential to slowing down either of Mead’s backcourt duo. His production from drives will be worth following, one the quicker athletes within this group.
Silver Creek #5 versus Dakota Ridge #12
Schmeeckle continues to be an effective scorer on all three levels, taking advantage of the space he’s provided. Likely run off the line, his abilities to set up teammates for success will be essential in a potential Silver Creek victory.
Schneider’s shotmaking will be an important component to Dakota Ridge’s success, providing scoring on all three levels. This group boasts a wide array of perimeter shooters, certainly a high upside offense when rolling.

Mesa Ridge #4 versus Green Mountain #13
While the Riehl brothers are always a pain to deal with, Widic will be an important contributor given his positional strength and passing vision.
Weslin’s physicality on the glass will aid this group with second chance opportunities and securing defensive rebounds however possible.
Vista Peak #2 versus Discovery Canyon #15
Monroe-Elazier’s driving scoring around the paint will be helpful propelling Vista PEAK into round 3. On the defensive end, he will be a difficult matchup to put it lightly.
Eckels will have his hands full against the biggest and most physical team in 5A. Certainly an excellent rebounder throughout the season, this will be one of the more exciting frontcourt matchups in the state.

Ponderosa #7 versus Montrose #10
Karsteter’s ability to maximize his role on or off the ball makes him such a versatile option. Montrose will have their hands full containing this group’s array of perimeter threats.
Ferguson has been the offensive engine for this Montrose group, empowering them through a high volume of paint touches. Certainly against a smaller Ponderosa team, the forward has a great opportunity to showcase his playmaking upside should aggressive help defense arrive.

Lewis-Palmer #6 versus Grand Junction #11
Johnson has been an impressive perimeter shooter this season, certainly capable of heating up when provided an opportunity. Lewis-Palmer remains a sneaky team with a wide array of perimeter threats.

Will Applegate
Applegate has done well crashing the glass and scoring through contests. Grand Junction will need to stay aggressive on the perimeter and put pressure on opposing ball handlers.
Windsor #3 versus Thomas Jefferson #14
Reed is among the highest motor rebounders in the state, his ability to be physical while facilitating puts Windsor in a great spot.
Highlights
Alleman will be tested defending the paint and making aggressive closeouts to perimeter scorers. His wide reach coupled with improved athleticism makes the forward a unique matchup.
