Quickly returning to full speed, Braketa is an x-factor for Ralston Valley through their upcoming playoff race. Recently posting 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists against Arvada-West, we are beginning to see the junior remains one of the state’s most coveted prospects.
Nellessen has been improving his physicality and intuition on the glass over his past two games. Posting 23 and 11 versus Loveland along with 18 and 17 versus Brighton. A tall forward with upside as a spot-up shooter, Nellessen is a worthy collegiate player who will be a tough matchup for Monarch’s initial opponent this playoff race.
King has been the offense of Fort Collins, contributing shots on all three levels all while being the focal point of opponent scouting reports. A pure scorer, the guard will be a thorn in the side of opposing defenses this upcoming playoff race and down the line, Adams State.
This freshman has garnered plenty of reputability throughout his initial season with premier program Chaparral. Playing like a seasoned four year guard, Williams has fit in like a glove, finding his role in a myriad of circumstances. In his previous two games on the 13th and 15th, the guard posted 23 and 22 points respectively.
Highlights
A particularly shifty guard, Nettles has added another dimension to this Douglas County. Putting up 24 in a tight win over Highlands Ranch while drawing a staggering 15 free throws. Excellent at changing speeds and getting his defender of-balance, the guard is adept at throwing opponents into tough situations.
Highlights
Junker continues to amaze with his production, posting 24 points, 15 reboudns, and 9 blocks versus an undersized Douglas County group. Frankly it is rare to find guys posting near triple double stats with blocks as the ancillary counting category. His low center of gravity and patience down low has catapulted him into a top tier interior defender within the state, D2 and D3s need to keep an eye on him, particularly as he continues to round out his game. Mountain Vista remains at the forefront of 6A programs given their discipline on defense and assertive passing tendencies within the halfcourt.
Highlights
Fiedler is a matchup nightmare in the paint, putting up 27 points in his past two games versus Castle View and Legend, posting 20 free throw attempts between those two matchups. His soft touch both on free throws and shots versus contact have made him a dependable, frankly formidable scoring threat.
Highlights
In the latest of Ali’s supreme shot creation, the guard went 11 for 11 from the free throw line for 24 points in a victory over Arapahoe. Effective changing pace while remaining a scoring threat from all three levels, Ali has taken himself to a whole new level this season. Given Overland’s depth of tall forwards, this group will be a sneaky team come playoff time.
