As the state tournaments start on Wednesday, we have the final 12 teams left in each class. Here are my state predictions for the 4A class.

To recap quickly how we got here, check out my road to state articles! For the 4A class, Richland, the 7 seed, is a team who has made noise so far, upsetting the 2nd seed Tahoma in round 1. Camas, the 13 seed, also won their game against the 12 seed to make the final 12.

#6 Federal Way vs #11 Skyview - PREDICTION: Federal Way - [player_tooltip player_id='1450568' first='Mason' last='Thomas'] has been playing phenomenal all season long, [player_tooltip player_id='1450499' first='Kofi' last='Peyton'] is a key player who will have a big tournament as well. Winner of this game will play #5 Davis.

#2 Tahoma vs #10 Jackson - PREDICTION: Tahoma - [player_tooltip player_id='1612241' first='Dalton' last='Brown'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1612261' first='Adam' last='Davis'] are a long, lanky wing duo who have played so well together and will continue to do so. Winner of this game plays #1 Mount Si.

#4 Glacier Peak vs #13 Camas - PREDICTION: Camas - Man, this one is super hard for me to choose. I think Jo Lee has been one of the most improved players on the court in the entire state this season for Glacier Peak but, I am going on a limb and saying [player_tooltip player_id='1450989' first='Beckett' last='Currie'] will carry his team deep into this tournament. [player_tooltip player_id='1863196' first='Ethan' last='Harris'] adds great size that I also think will be a big difference maker. Going out and saying Camas pulls off this upset. Winner of this game plays #3 Gonzaga Prep

#8 Kentwood vs #9 Olympia - PREDICTION: Olympia - Big games need to have big time players who make big time plays/shots. [player_tooltip player_id='1450937' first='Drew' last='Carlson'], for Olympia, is that player. He hits big shots and makes the right play with the ball in his hands. Maybe he can carry this Olympia team far. Winner of this game plays #7 Richland.

QUARTERFINALS

#5 Davis vs #6 Federal Way - PREDICTION: Davis - I personally think this could be an extremely close and hard fought game but, Davis is just too long. [player_tooltip player_id='1688028' first='Finnegan' last='Anderson'] (6'5") and [player_tooltip player_id='1450565' first='Blake' last='Garza'] (6'6) are a dynamic wing duo who have caused problems all year.

#1 Mount Si vs #2 Tahoma - PREDICTION: Mount Si - [player_tooltip player_id='1450494' first='Blake' last='Forrest'], Trevir Hennig, and the emergence of Latt Ford have shown why Mount Si is the number one seed and why they may not lose a game the rest of the season. Tahoma's round 1 loss comes back to haunt them with this matchup against the #1 seed.

#3 Gonzaga Prep vs #13 Camas - PREDICTION: Camas - It's close enough to March that we can have some cinderella teams take over. I personally think that Camas will be that 4A team to surprise everyone and win a couple games at the Tacoma Dome. [player_tooltip player_id='1450989' first='Beckett' last='Currie'] is the real deal.

#7 Richland vs #9 Olympia - PREDICTION: Richland - [player_tooltip player_id='1450498' first='Luke' last='Westerfield'] is a Division 1 talent on the court and whenever you have a player like that on your team, it elevates all the players around them. [player_tooltip player_id='1837706' first='Jack' last='Forbes'] will play a key factor in this state tournament, in my eyes.

SEMI FINALS

#1 Mount Si vs #5 Davis - PREDICTION: Mount Si - Both of these semi final games are going to be fantastic and this matchup is going to be close. [player_tooltip player_id='1685491' first='Lattimore' last='Ford'] will be a key factor but in this game, [player_tooltip player_id='1450486' first='Trevor' last='Hennig'] will step up and get his team to the state title game.

#7 Richland vs #13 Camas - PREDICTION: Richland - Both of these two teams have exceeded expectations that were given to them but both want to finish the job all the way. As dynamic as [player_tooltip player_id='1450989' first='Beckett' last='Currie'] is, I think Richland has too much size and experience under their belt.

4A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

#1 Mount Si vs #7 Richland - PREDICTION: Mount Si - The Wildcats haven't lost a game since the year 2024 started and I just don't see them losing one here. They are such a talented, well coached team and after dropping the semi final and 3rd place games last year, they are getting that state title.
