Tuesday evening PHI took in one of the CPS quarterfinal contests between Kenwood and Lincoln Park. Two of the top teams in the public league all year clashed at Kenwood as the host Broncos came out on top 74-61. There were a ton of college prospects in this one so we open up the scouting report in 10 Best: Kenwood vs Lincoln Park!

[player_tooltip player_id='1157346' first='Jaden' last='Smith'] (Kenwood – 2024 – Arizona State)

Smith played about as complete of a half as we have seen in his career during the first two quarters of this game. The Arizona State commit was aggressive offensively and dominant on defense. Right handed hook shot, mid-range jumper, take off the bounce from the foul line, and late a massive slam out of the dunker spot. Defensively he swatted everything that came near him all game long while doing a good job of not fouling. He had 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284852' first='Chris' last='Riddle'] (Kenwood – 2024 – DePaul)

Took a bit for Riddle to get going, but the DePaul commit did as the contest went along. He had an explosive baseline take where he put in a tight reverse layup. Win on straight line takes, posted up weaker defenders, and had a big dunk on a back cut for 13 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285487' first='Calvin' last='Robins Jr'] (Kenwood – 2024)

Robins showed some of the energy that we haven't seen from him throughout the season in this one. Got on the offensive glass, posted up strong for several scores, and was efficient scoring down low. Right handed hook, finish off dump off pass, and several other buckets inside for 11 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285533' first='Edwon' last='Duling'] (Kenwood – 2024)

Duling had a spurt in the first half draining a trio of threes to get his team rolling. As always the senior played tough defense and was a crisp passer finishing with 12 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1385283' first='Aleks' last='Alston'] (Kenwood – 2025)

Saw a higher activity level out of Alston in this one as the game went along. Liked his activity level on the defensive end recording several steals and blocks. Offensively he passed it to shooters along with cutters for dunks. As a scorer he hit a three, floater, turnaround from the post, and closed it off with a big dunk for 11 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1845363' first='Rajan' last='Roberts'] (Kenwood – 2026)

This is the x-factor in my eyes for Kenwood. If the top 5 sophomore is rolling they are going to be tough to beat in March. Had a shake where he blew by his man for a score at the cup and that wasn't the only time he used his explosive speed getting downhill. Also hit a three for 9 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125612' first='Devin' last='Cleveland'] (Kenwood – 2027)

Cleveland is one of the best freshman in the state. He had modest numbers for himself, but was still key in the win. Scored 9 points hitting a three, getting out in transition, and winning off the bounce for layups.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105222' first='Chayse' last='Turner'] (Lincoln Park – 2025)

Long and rangy wing didn't back down from Kenwood in this game. Had a couple big dunks and used his athleticism to score in the paint. Almost all of his points came on slashes, dunks, lobs, or at the foul line. He had 18 points in the loss.

[player_tooltip player_id='1385284' first='Keyshawn' last='Barfield'] (Lincoln Park – 2025)

Barfield is a big and strong five man that seals well on the interior and flashed some nifty footwork that could develop into something. Got on the offensive glass and had a reverse layup for 8 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105399' first='Ahmad' last='Lee'] (Lincoln Park – 2026)

Lee is a skilled combo guard that showed the ability to play both on and off the ball. Skilled shooter draining multiple mid-range pull ups along with a three. Good passing feel and is a fluid ball handler. Finished with 13 points.
