However, there were also big games being played up at Bishop Noll as #4 Cathedral traveled north to take on their Catholic brethren and Park Tudor hosted Lawrence Central. In the first game of the evening Liberty Christian jumped all over the host Eagles early and often scoring 25 points in the opening quarter and never looking back. Freshman guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140408' first='Kendrick' last='Martin'] came out of the gate scoring 12 points during that hot start and would go on to lead all scorers with 23 points as the Lions defeated Frankton 66-58. Along with Martin's 23 points, the other Lions freshmen were excellent as well. TJ English added a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds while [player_tooltip player_id='2267054' first='Tywaine' last='Fuller'] chipped in 9 points and 6 assists. That is 47 of Liberty Christian's 66 points going to freshmen as they advanced to the Madison County Tournament Final. Those young guys certainly lived up to the hype on Wednesday night.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The last time I saw Anderson play they suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Noblesville. That one was ugly for the Indians. However, they flipped the script and dominated Lapel in similar fashion on Wednesday night. Christian Townsend got off to a hot start connecting on a pair of 3's and scoring 8 points in the first period. He would end up knocking in four 3's and scoring 18 points in the game as Anderson cruised to a 58-29 victory. Junior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1297010' first='Damien' last='King'] dominated with his physical tools as well scoring a game-high 19 points to go with 7 rebounds and 6 assists. In the first quarter, King either scored or assisted on all 17 of the Indians points. Coach Donnie Bowling has a very talented junior class to lean on as they advanced to take on Liberty Christian in the Madison County Tournament Final. The Fighting Irish lost a lot from last season's team, but they are now off to a perfect 9-0 start after beating Bishop Noll 76-58 on their trip up to the Region on Wednesday evening. 6'8" junior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1525663' first='Brady' last='Koehler'] continued his monster season scoring 29 points to lead all scorers while grabbing 6 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists. He has been one of the best players in the state of Indiana this season. Sophomore wing [player_tooltip player_id='1561135' first='Keaton' last='Aldridge Jr']. added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the Fighting Irish. This group is proving they are one of the best teams in the state this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Park Tudor picked up an impressive 66-64 victory over Lawrence Central to move to 7-2 on the season. The Panthers are playing like a legitimate contender in a loaded Class 2A.
