Jamarion Batemon Jamarion Batemon 6'3" | CG Milwaukee Academy of Science | 2025 State #174 Nation WI – 2025 – SG – Milwaukee Academy of Science
Batemon nailed five consecutive 3-pointers to blow open the game for the Novas. The junior guard continues to impress with how fundamentally sound, yet lethal and explosive he is as a scorer. He’s a guy who can get you 30 points, but is also very well-rounded, poised, and can play either guard spot at a high level. Even though he was hot, loved how Batemon never forced his shot and used his best friend (the clock) with a lead in the second half. As always, Oshkosh North played a lot of zone. Batemon did an excellent job of relocating and finding soft spots. He also got defenders moving and off their feet to set himself up or his teammates. When a break down did occur, Batemon hit those gaps hard and made a lot of things happen.
Devin Brown Devin Brown 6'7" | PF Milwaukee Academy Of Science | 2025 State #196 Nation WI – 2025 – PF – Milwaukee Academy of Science
Have seen Brown take on the top two ranked forwards in the 2025 class. He’s won both head-to-head matchups resoundingly. One of the biggest knocks on Brown was his outside shooting. He knocked down two 3-pointers on Tuesday and has continued to display more consistency and confidence in that department. There’s a lot to like about Brown, who is not only one of the best athletes in the state, but has a junkyard dog mentality and plenty of skill for the power forward position. Brown had some tremendous defensive plays on Tuesday, swatting away shots at the rim. He also had a spurt late in the first half where he knocked down a triples, scored on a transition dunk, collected a steal, and then took that back the other way for the flush.
Stevie Clark Stevie Clark 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2024 State #322 Nation WI – 2024 – SF – Oshkosh North
Clark had a game-high 26 points. The Colgate commit scored 18 of those in the second half. Facing some of the state’s top defenders, Clark had different bodies thrown at him and he effectively took advantage of just about each matchup. The 6-foot-6 wing made the Novas pay when they went under screens and didn’t close out hard. Clark was also able to use his size in the post and in the mid-range to score over the top. As we’ve said ad nauseam, Clark has a unique ability to score falling away from the rim and is one of the best in the state at the fallaway jumper. MAS lives on pressure, but it just never sped up Clark, who was able to get the basketball up the floor against smaller, quicker guards and even blow by them to the rim at times for scores early in possessions.
Highlights
Amare Jackson Amare Jackson 6'4" | SF Milwaukee Academy of Science | 2025 State WI – 2025 – SF – Milwaukee Academy of Science
This kid just plays his tail off and does all the dirty work for MAS. Displaying a very high motor, Jackson must have come down with five offensive rebounds on Tuesday. 90 percent of what Jackson does comes below the rim, but make no mistake, he’s a terrific athlete. Jackson showed that a few times with an explosive transition dunk and some acrobatic finishes around the rim. The 6-foot-4 junior is a terrific slasher. When he catches in the high post, Jackson gets right to the rim and also drops passes off nicely to his forwards. An extra ball handler for MAS as well, Jackson will push the tempo in transition and make decisions on the fly.
Bryce Ott Bryce Ott 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2026 State WI – 2026 – F – Oshkosh North
Ott gave the Spartans some really good minutes and you could see his confidence start to emerge in the second half during a very high-level game. A 6-foot-6 combo forward with some versatility, Ott caused some mismatch problems with his ability to face up and attack from the 3-point line or in the mid-range. Also liked the way Ott was able to catch in traffic and finish around bodies against a fast, athletic team — a tough skill for young players to learn. Currently a top 25 sophomore, Ott is on a good trajectory. He’s still quite raw, especially physically, but is also a standout football prospect, which bodes well for his long-term upside and ability to add weight/explosiveness.
