showed the value and importance of having senior leadership with the way that he brought Bullis all the way back. The physical senior guard ramped up the paint touches to produce more easy looks at the rim and get himself going offensively at the line. Boston has played a key role in the development of reserve guard and does a great job of creating open looks for his shooters.

, whose scoring explosion in the first half built up an early lead for the Quakers. Lewis shot 9/12 from the floor and 5/6 from 3, hitting 3 triples from the volleyball line in the first half off the bounce. The shifty guard is letting the game come to him and consistently is making the right reads whether that is scoring or facilitating– I counted at least 4 additional assists that he would have had if his teammates’ shot went in, including three gimmes around the basket. Defensively he has come a long way and chests up well defensively when his matchup drives to the rim to avoid the foul but stay in front of his man.

-Severely underrated prospect. Mannino just has a nose for the basketball at both ends of the floor, gets to 50-50 balls and rebounds in traffic. Plays within himself and under control, showing off wide variety in his skillset as a shooter passer and secondary ballhandler. Shoots it well off the catch and hit several tough faders in the paint after collecting the rebound– tremendous footwork on his step-throughs and used his pivot to create space for a jumper or to create better passing angles for kickouts to shooters. High-academic prospect that can contribute at the Ivy/Patriot level.

One of the most encouraging things about Waheed’s game is how he has developed year-to year. Evolving from a catch and shoot guy, to a connector, to a versatile rebounder and playmaker that can play 2-4 offensively and 1-4 defensively. His attention to detail defensively in his position as a help defender has created much better angles to swoop in for deflections or steals. Offensively he makes sound decisions after the offensive rebound to either score or find a teammate before his feet hit the floor from gathering the rebound. He is starting to hit jumpers from all over the floor off the bounce at a much higher rate and can play the facilitator, shooter, or play finisher at the rim in transition.

-Franklin’s versatility was once again on display in a close loss to Landon as he is so effective at playing off of guys as a movement shooter or cutter. His ability to leave a heavy imprint on the game without a high usage rate will help him adjust easier to the college level, finding gaps in each game to mix in some shots or drives to the basket around moving the ball. As he continues to add more explosive burst, I think he will be able to mix in a better shot diet with several more easy bunnies available at the rim

– Stevens bounced back from being held to 5 points in the first half while dealing with foul and turnover issues to hitting the go-ahead basket, blocking a huge shot that could have tied the game, and hitting both of the game-clinching free throws. Stevens started getting downhill early in the 2H to get his offensive game clicking, finishing well through contact and forcing his opponent to experiment with different defensive matchup. Stevens plays above the rim and shoots it very well from beyond the arc, both premium skillsets that will serve him well at the next level.

-Hill’s ability to shift gears without slowing down has paid some serious dividends early in his career at Maret, allowing him to get downhill and produce a consistent 15+ points on a nightly basis. His handle allows him to get to his spots and sets up easier looks at the rim because of the separation he is able to create with his dribble. Hill is dynamic as a play finisher on the ball, especially in transition as he shifted the defense with his eyes before scoring. The next step in Hill’s development will be to create easy dump off looks in the paint to his bigs, or by seeing the options to throw a skip pass or kick out to an open shooter.

-My first time viewing Knight showed flashes of a very promising backcourt player. Although the perimeter shot wasn’t falling, Knight showed his ability to score in the paint with a deep bag of finishing moves and footwork. He creates angles very well with his footwork and handle, constantly probing and attacking any weaknesses in the defense. Did a great job of getting 2 feet in the paint and creating a scoring threat for help defenders/ drop bigs to have to deal with on the fly and out of position.
