Heading into their sophomore year, this list is still new and while we did our best we know things will change a lot as players continue to grow and develop moving forward.
Here’s a look at part two of the shooting guards and small forwards in the rankings.
11) Marcus Hancock Marcus Hancock 6'3" | SG John Paul The Great | 2026 State VA | 6’2” SG | John Paul the Great (#33 Overall)
Hancock will have a chance to move up this list and may be a little too low already, as he was one of the best catch-and-shoot players in the state hands down. He works well off the ball to get open and has in the gym range that’s relatively effortless, he’s super consistent and shoots around the 50% mark as a volume shooter from deep and he has supreme confidence in his ability to knock it down from deep.
10) Jayden Brown Jayden Brown 6'3" | SG St. Anne’s Belfield | 2026 State VA | 6’3” SG | St. Anne’s-Belfield (#30 Overall)
Brown is a player that we’re keeping an eye on moving forward, as he grew about 5 inches over the summer and has all the physical and athletic tools to develop into a very good player. He is a fluid athlete who gets up and down and can sit down and guard, he can play above the rim with relative ease and he has a budding skillset that will only get better as he continues to develop.
9) William Robinson William Robinson 6'5" | SF Westfield | 2026 State VA | 6’5” SF | Westfield (#29 Overall)
Robinson is one of a number of new and young players for this Westfield team that will be able to compete with anyone in NOVA this year, and he’s a super intriguing prospect who could move up this list with time. He already has a fantastic frame and is an above average athlete, he’s an unselfish player who is a good passer and competes on the defensive end and he’s a knock down shooter off the catch who can attack closeouts as well.
8) Mathias Lee Mathias Lee 6'6" | SF Westfield | 2026 State VA | 6’6” SF | Westfield (#27 Overall)
Another young and intriguing prospect for this Westfield team, Lee is another guy who is trending toward the division one route and is just scratching the surface with how good he can be moving forward. He looks the part with a great frame that will fill out nicely as he continues to hit the weight room, he’s a big time athlete who can get downhill and finish at the rim, he’s full of potential to be a lock down defender and he has a good base skillset to improve on offensively.
7) Trey Fitch Trey Fitch 6'5" | SG Fairfax Christian | 2026 State VA | 6’5” SG | Fairfax Christian (#25 Overall)
Fitch transferred to Fairfax Christian from Rock Ridge and reclassified to the 2025 class which will give him another year to develop and has him trending toward a possible D1 commit. He has the prototypical size of a two guard at the next level with long arms too, he is a knock down shooter from deep with good range and is very efficient and as he continues to grow and get stronger he should become a more athletic finisher too.
6) Davion Brown Davion Brown 6'4" | SF Trinity Episcopal | 2026 State VA | 6’4” SF | Trinity Episcopal (#22 Overall)
Brown is considered by many as one of the top football recruits in Richmond as the sophomore wide receiver already holds a plethora of Power 5 offers, but there’s no doubt he could be a division one basketball player as well. He has a frame well beyond his years as he’s strong and very athletic playing above the rim with ease already, he can score the basketball in a lot of different ways and he brings a lot of energy and toughness whenever he’s on the floor.
