Friday Night's action began with our lone Nike EYBL Scholastic Game, and it was the home-state Lions who improved to 2-1 in league play. Cincinnati Commit [player_tooltip player_id='1220048' first='JJ' last='Rembert'] opened the game with a corner 3 on the first possession, and that would set the tone for the Lions' success for the rest of the night. They made 11 3's on 19 attempts, including 6 of those coming from [player_tooltip player_id='1270430' first='Travelle' last='Bryson']. Bryson came into the week as the EYBL Scholastic leader in made 3's per game, and he has been key to Legacy's success so far this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1565197' first='Deston' last='Christian'] also had a very good game for the Lions. He had a dominant first half with 14 points on 6-6 shooting, constantly driving hard into the paint and finishing around multiple bodies. Christian was also an important rebounder for the team, finishing with 7 in a category that Legacy won 36-23. Canyon International did a great job of forcing turnovers, and they put together a couple of runs in the second half to keep things interesting. But [player_tooltip player_id='1055704' first='Adrian' last='Shackleton'], who scored 12 of his 16 points in the second half, hit a big 3 with 2:30 left to help seal the victory for Coach BJ Jackson's crew.

St. Francis had a dominant performance of AA Powerhouse Gray Collegiate in Friday's middle matchup. The Eagles had several good looks early, but just couldn't get anything to fall. The Wolves capitalized and jumped out to a quick 10-0 lead halfway through the first quarter. Gray's first bucket came at the 2:35 mark from a [player_tooltip player_id='996190' first='Justin' last='Pauling'] pull-up mid-range jump shot. Alongside [player_tooltip player_id='1032755' first='TyQuan' last='McDuffie'], Pauling provided huge minutes off the bench to keep the St. Francis lead within single digits at the half. The Eagles had a few good offensive stretches in the second half, but Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1225689' first='Nigel' last='Walls'], who currently holds offers from Alabama, Arkansas, and Kansas State, among others, had a huge night. He had a 12-point 3rd quarter and the Eagles just couldn't find a consistent answer for him. He finished with an eye-popping 31 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks knocking down 5-8 3-point field goals. Georgia Southern Commit [player_tooltip player_id='1180896' first='Braylhan' last='Thomas'] didn't have his best overall night for Gray, but he still finished with 15 points and 8 rebounds in the 58-44 loss.

The hosts were in action in the final game of Day 2 of The Bash, taking on EYBL Scholastic Sunrise Christian. There was a clear size differential between the two teams, and it caused the Blazers some trouble in the early stages of the game. But Ridge View did not back down in what was an extremely physical affair. [player_tooltip player_id='1679970' first='Yale' last='Davis'] had a good start to the game, scoring a couple of very tough buckets and finding teammates for open shots. As Ridge View went scoreless for the final 3:41 of the half, Kansas State Commit David Castillo hit back-to-back threes and Caleb Williams hit a mid-range jump shot to give Sunrise Christian a 27-25 lead at the break. But, in the 3rd quarter, Korie Corbet took over. The Blazer Sophmore had 9 points on 4-4 shooting as Sunrise Christian had no answer for his combination of strong drives and soft touch on jump shots, sending us to the 4th tied at 46. Castillo had a couple more big-time shots for Sunrise Christian in the final period, including one to make it a 1-point game midway through the quarter. But Ridge View's [player_tooltip player_id='1972146' first='Malachi' last='Cooper'] answered on the ensuing possession with a massive corner three to add back to their lead. Just over a minute later, [player_tooltip player_id='1158132' first='Jayden' last='Pretty'], who had an amazing game, hit a tough step-back three to make it a 67-62 game with 2:00 left. The Blazers' late-game execution was near perfect, and they pulled out an extremely impressive win over one of the nation's top programs. Pretty and Castillo lead all scorers with 21 and 20 respectively, followed by Corbett with 19. Ridge View's two main guards [player_tooltip player_id='1679970' first='Yale' last='Davis'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1692194' first='Joshua' last='Smith'] were tremendous as well in the victory to keep the Blazers undefeated on the season.
