You have probably seen it on Twitter at this point but if not, Fisher hit the and-1 go-ahead bucket with only seconds left in the game to lift Reynoldsburg their first win of the season. The gym was buzzing the entire game as Reynoldsburg hosted Richmond Heights in the main event and Fisher came to put on a show. He was a very consistent player for the Raiders all game long. He was in attack mode from the start and continued it the entire game. He can give it to from any level on the court and prove that. He has a very smooth shot and athletic movements to him. His length gives him an edge over a lot of defenders. He led the Raiders with 12 points.
The Michigan State commit proved why he is one of the top seniors in the state on Saturday. He was quiet in the first quarter but then proceeded to take the game over. He was the biggest player on the court and made his presence felt. McCulloch was dominant in the paint. He seemed to be getting every rebound or effecting every rebound. He got a ton of 2nd chance points and dunks. He provided great rim protection for the Falcons as well. He flashed his great touch around the rim and from beyond the arc. He got to the free throw line often and made Walnut Ridge pay. He was the difference. He had 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Steele is a pure bucket-getter. He is a tough player to stop in transition or 1 on 1. He is an ultra-shifty guard with elite change of speed ability. He plays with a good controlled pace to his game and has the ball on a string. He had two highlight-level plays of crossing a defender out of the picture and having an outstanding finish. He is a hard player to stop from getting to the rim and once he gets there he has great body control with a good acrobatic ability to finish it, with either hand.
Meister was a bucket-getter for Newark on Saturday. He is in his senior campaign and he is showing his senior leadership ability because he never got flustered with Taft’s great athleticism and defensive ability. He showed leadership by example. He was calm and confident. He was scoring from every angle. His jumper is pretty and efficient. He has a good IQ and a feel for the game. His big body allows him to do damage from the inside and out.
Turner is the head of a very young and talented Pickerington Central team this year and his veteran leadership is something the Tigers will lean on heavily. He provided it for them in their big-time win over Akron STVM. He was calm and controlled the game. He is an elite passer and always makes the right pass. He is a shorter guard but has a good strong body that lets him use contact to his advantage. He was getting where he wanted on the court and was dishing it to his teammates in the right spots. Turner is going to need to play well for the Tigers to have a good season, I believe he will and he shows he is ready for it Saturday.
