Fischer played bigger than his height all game as he used his body to move weaker defenders in the paint to score when driving to the rim. My favorite buckets from Fischer were a drive and spin to a lefty finish then a drive where he used a rondo fake to get back to his right hand to finish. A capable shooter from the outside as well, Fischer knocked down shots off the catch at a high rate. I really liked watching North Oldham offensively, they share the ball and are very skilled, no secret why they are so successful!

A player I caught in June and really liked his game, Gutman once again flashed his talent for a Walton Verona squad that has a lot of offensive talent. A good athlete for his size, Gutman can get downhill and make a crossover or euro-step to avoid a shot contest at the rim. Moved well without the ball, getting a couple easy buckets off cuts. Struggled from 3-point range this game but Gutman shoots such a smooth ball off the bounce and catch from long distance. Biggest area of improvement for Gutman will be improving his physicality and becoming a better defender. With his size, skill and shooting ability, there’s no reason Gutman can’t prove himself to be a Division I talent this spring and summer with the right grassroots fit.

From a potential Division I prospect to a Division I commit, Doyle showed why he’s a class above the competition on Thursday evening. Lexington Catholic gave Paul Lawrence Dunbar fits defensively with their 2-2-1 full court press and turned over the Bulldogs consistently. Doyle used his size to score with his back to the basket and got some easy layups in transition off steals. A little bit of a funky release on his jumper but Doyle was on target when left alone from long distance even out to 25+ feet. His poise and feel for the game helps make his entire team click and Lexington Catholic is rolling right now.
One of the most skilled freshman guards in the state, Jointer had a big game to lead Woodford County to a big win over previously unbeaten Bryan Station. Playing with a pace and poise beyond his age, Jointer isn’t a guy you can speed up. Able to change directions quickly with some euro-step and crossover moves. His best play of the day was an and-1 layup where he spun the ball with his right hand from the left side through the contact. His dribbling ability allows him to get to the paint when he wants and despite his lack of height, Jointer already has a plus wingspan. I’m a big fan of what Jointer gives you right now to win games and his upside down the road with continued growth and physical development.

A new name for myself, I was really impressed with Adams all game. A very high motor forward, I can’t count how many points off second chance opportunities. There was a sequence in the second quarter where back-to-back possessions Adams got a grown man offensive rebound and putback layup. Adams runs the floor, he’s athletic and showed the ability to pass out of the post. I was a big fan of Adams and 2026 guard Amari Owens Amari Owens 5’11” | PG Bryan Station | 2026 State KY , showing that Bryan Station has some talent to build with over the next few years.
