1.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171659' first='Owen' last='Larson'] (Estherville Lincoln Central) - 29.6 points per game

Larson leads the state in scoring, regardless of class, and has been extremely consistent in doing so. His lofty average isn't buoyed by one or two 50-point nights, he's pretty much going out there and putting up 28-30 on a nightly basis. The future South Dakota State guard is having his most efficient year as well, shooting 50% from the floor, and has been stuffing the stat sheet, averaging 10.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 2.9 steals a game.

2.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1751110' first='Reece' last='Vander Zee'] (Central Lyon) - 28.8

Vander Zee was electric in a tertiary role last season for the Lions, and has been even better as the primary option this season, averaging a double-double (10.6 rebounds). He hasn't been as efficient as he was last season, but he was also playing alongside a pair of All-State players last season, so the looks he got were a little less contested. The future Iowa receiver is a great athlete with tremendous size, and the Lions have the look of a team that could explode out of the break as their newcomers gain more experience.

3.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1381402' first='Emiliano' last='Barrantes'] (Grand View Christian) - 28.0

A 6-9 forward who runs like a deer, Barrantes put together one of the most ridiculous stat lines you'll ever see in the Thunder's win over Stanton earlier this year, going off for 45 points on 22-29 shooting with 29 rebounds and 4 blocks. Following several losses to graduation, GVC needed Barrantes to step up and become a dominant force, and he has done just that, leading the state in rebounding and blocking 4 shots a game.

4.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1153046' first='Jack' last='Miller'] (Jesup) - 27.8

Miller has the highest scoring game of any player so far this season, dropping 48 points against Don Bosco, including what may end up being the dunk of the year with a ridiculous alley-oop. The future Upper Iowa guard has been extremely efficient (51.7 FG%) and knows how to get to his spots routinely, especially in the mid-range. He's a smooth all-around offensive weapon who absolutely dominates games on both ends of the floor, averaging 8.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 4.0 steals to go with his huge scoring.

5.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171681' first='Jonovan' last='Wilkinson'] (Roland-Story) - 27.3

Wilkinson has been dominant this season for the Norsemen, leading the team in rebounding (9.6) and ranking second in assists (3.5) and steals (2.1) in addition to his explosive scoring nights. He's one of the best in the state in the mid-range, and he really knows how to get to his spots, which helps him put up the great efficiency numbers that he does (54-35-82 splits).

6.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2398114' first='Logan' last='Moline'] (Manson-Northwest Webster) - 26.9

A 6-2 guard who has been extremely efficient for the Cougars, Moline also leads the team in rebounding (8.2) and is second in assists (3.0) and steals (2.4). He's shooting 51% from the floor and is at his best when he's attacking the rim, using his size advantage in the backcourt to bully his way to the bucket.

7.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171680' first='Brooks' last='Moore'] (Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont) - 24.4

Moore is an explosive athlete with great size at 6-6/6-7 on the wing, and he's a nightmare to slow down in transition, a freight train who is looking to dunk on everyone. He has improved his ability to create for himself off the dribble, which has helped him take the next step as a scorer and playmaker for the Rockets.

8.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171662' first='Holden' last='Arnaman'] (West Branch) - 23.7

Arnaman's 41 made 3-pointers lead the state, regardless of class, and while that is impressive, what's even more impressive is that he's knocking them down at a ridiculous 56.2% clip. He's an electric scorer who puts up points in bunches, and he's one of the best shooters in the state off the dribble. He's headed to play his college ball at D2 Minnesota State Mankato.

9.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1951832' first='Cael' last='Reichter'] (North Fayette Valley) - 23.1

A 6-7 do-it-all combo forward, Reichter has been a monster for the TigerHawks early this season, averaging 12.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.7 blocks on 55% shooting to go with his huge scoring numbers. With his size, athleticism, and skill set, he's a nearly impossible matchup for teams in the Upper Iowa.

10.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171677' first='Preston' last='Ries'] (Monticello) - 22.4

One of the best all-around athletes in the state, Ries is headed to play college football at Iowa and is wrapping up a sensational high school basketball career by doing what he does - scoring in bunches, dominating the glass, and impacting the game defensively with his size, strength, and athleticism. He's averaging 10.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.0 steals on 49.4% shooting and getting to the free-throw line routinely for the Panthers.
