Harrington is probably the best freshman in the state, a poised, talented wing with good size and length at 6-5 and a picturesque stroke from the arc. He reminds me of Keegan Murray at this age with his size, mobility, poise, and skill set. He’s averaging 11.6 points on 46-41-90 shooting splits for one of the best teams in 4A.
Charlie King Charlie King 6'4" | CG Roosevelt | 2027 State IA (Roosevelt)
A 6-3 combo forward who can do a little bit of everything, King has been extremely productive for the Roughriders so far this season, averaging 11.1 points and 5.3 rebounds a game on 47-47-50 shooting splits. He’s an active defender, skilled passer, and is really good on the glass on both ends of the floor.
Jerimiah Washpun Jerimiah Washpun 5'10" | PG Liberty | 2027 State IA (Liberty)
Washpun is a really good athlete on the perimeter who knows how to get to his spots, especially within the mid-range. He’s a good finisher around the rim, an excellent ball-handler, and he plays well in ball screen actions, turning the corner and getting to the bucket. He’s a good passer with great court vision and a good feel for the game. He’s averaging 6.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists a game for the Lightning while shooting 51.5% from the floor.
Sam Church Sam Church 6'3" | PF Muscatine | 2027 State IA (Muscatine)
A 6-3 combo forward, Church leads the Muskies in scoring at 11.7 points a game, and is third in rebounding, pulling down 5.9 boards a night. He can score from all three levels, leading the team in made 3-pointers, and his length can impact the game on the defensive end.
Austin Joens (Prairie)
A 5-10 guard who can play with or without the ball in his hands, Joens has started every game so far for the Hawks and is a fantastic shooter off the catch, helping stretch the defense. He has a quick release and moves really well without the ball in his hands. He’s averaging 8.6 points and 2.1 assists a game.
