We had the opportunity to watch four great games which included back-to-back buzzer-beaters in games two and three. While those matchups created a ton of excitement there was plenty of other action worthy of discussing throughout the day. For more from each matchup you can check out our Prep Hoops Indiana Live Blog from the quarterfinal games. Brandon already featured 6 standouts from the event, but here are 7 more player that stood out to us at the Fishers Holiday Classic.
While it was not the best of start for the 6’6 senior forward, Sims really poured on it the fourth quarter which is one of the main reasons Chesterton was able to advance. Fought a few injuries which led to some poor plays in this game but once he settled into the game, his athletic ability was too much for Lawrence Central. He was making flashy plays around the rim including a monster baseline slam that had the whole goal shaking. When his motor is on, he can be such a tough player to stop, but a consistent motor will always be the question. He finished with 14 points, 7 rebounds, & 4 blocked shots.

Singleton was one of the biggest prospects in the gym during the Fishers Holiday Classic. He takes up so much size in the paint and pairs it so well with includable smoothness while also being able to score through the contact of the defense. He caused some major mismatch problems with South Bend Riley. He was to the go-to player for Jeffersonville when the clock ran low and if it was not for the Baird half court buzzer beater, we would be talking more about Singleton hitting the game-winner. He finished with 17 points.
Douglas has such a unique yet effective game. He is a little more natural in the post but with his 6’4 frame, he is little undersized for a true post but the physicality in which he plays with makes it work. He, like Singleton, loves to plays through contact and can make plays happen out of the high-post whether it be a jumper or taking his defender off the dribble. He is the true glue of this Jeffersonville team. He finished with 16 points.

There was not a quicker player in the gym during the Fishers Holiday Classic and that is a fact. Howell was doing what he does best and that was making plays happen with his speed and incredible ability to score around any defender that was in his way. His jumper took a little bit to get going but once that started to flow, there was not much that Portage could do to stop him. He also continued to prove that there is simply no guarding him if he gets out in transition. The floor general finished with 17 points.
As far as true lead guards, this freshman prospect sits near the top in the state and once again further proved that at the Fishers Holiday Classic. For his age, there is so much maturity with his style of play with his incredible court vision and ways to read what the defense is giving him. He can also score at a good rate right now already with his ability to create on the ball. The scary part is, he is only going to get better and better these next four years. He finished with 12 points.

Metzger was doing what he does best making threes. He was really the first spark for the Fishers offense this game as he had multiple threes in the opening quarter which really set the tone. He worked well off the ball to get to an open spot on the floor and took major advantage of the zone defense that Bloomington North was starting with. Metzger will always be in the conversation as the most pure shooter in the state.

Cooper rounds out the Jeffersonville trio on this list as he was one of the leading scorers for Jeffersonville in their tough loss to South Bend Riley. Cooper really made his presence known on the defensive end as he had multiple defensive stops that would lead to transition buckets for him. With his long 6’3 frame, he can be a mismatch problem in the backcourt being able to take his defender off the dribble or knock it down from deep. A true microwave scorer. He finished with a 17 points.
