So, that being said, here’s a solid group of forwards who have shown some promising progress in the early season along with a couple of newer names to add to our database.

He can do some things around the rim and really relies on his physicality and effort to outplay bigger guys inside. Washington also shows some nice skill at times, grabbing a rebound and leading the break, coming up with tough finishes through contact, and making plays in big moments with his high-motor play.
He had an efficient offensive game against Stadium, not doing too much, making quick, decisive choices, and showing he can score the ball in various ways. He ran the floor, got on the end of breaks, spotted up in the corners, and made some strong plays in the paint to finish off cuts or offensive boards. He was active defensively and used his length to take up space and slow down the ball.

Dunning’s an interesting wing with good size who’s a physical slasher and a guy who can guard multiple positions. He was tough with his paint takes, fought hard on the glass, and handled the ball well enough to set the break in motion or drive in from the perimeter. Part of his success in the paint was his ability to play off two feet. He’s aggressive but did a great job slowing it down in space and taking what was available.
Christy’s up to 6-foot-7 now and has looked a lot more physical this season, not just bumping down in the paint, but showing a little more explosion, a little more twitch, and thus is making stronger moves with the ball. He’ll be a key paint presence for the Bullpups on both ends and is an athletic enough front court player who can get up and down the floor.
Nasinec was a skilled forward last season who just lacked a little strength and physicality at times. This year he’s showing that same skill but a little more assertiveness and purpose with his moves off the blocks. He’s got the touch and enough go-to moves down low to be a real presence inside scoring the rock and has shown some good progress holding off defenders so he can use that soft touch around the hoop.

Shamp’s a burlier big man who’s pretty skilled on the blocks and shows good patience down low. He went to multiple moves against Sammamish and although he’s not exceptionally quick, he’s strong, has good balance, and showed some touch to finish tightly contested paint shots. He was really an integral part of their offense when shots from the perimeter weren’t falling.
