Farmville Central Jaguars
Tyler Whitehurst Tyler Whitehurst 6'1" | CG Farmville Central | 2024 State NC and Hampton Evans Hampton Evans 6'5" | PF Farmville Central | 2024 State NC replace their losses from last year’s 2A title squad as they look to reload. The Jaguars went 32-1 en route to the state championship. With MJ Williams MJ Williams 5'10" | SG Farmville Central | 2025 State NC back leading the backcourt and other new names ready to emerge, look for them to be a tough out in the 2A East once again as they look to win back-to-back state titles.
Reidsville Rams
Top 2026 names Kendre Harrison Kendre Harrison 6'8" | C Reidsville | 2026 State NC and Dionte Neal Dionte Neal 5'10" | PG Reidsville | 2026 State NC are both back and they’ll add Johnniyus Sharpe Johnniyus Sharpe 6'2" | CG Reidsville | 2025 State NC , Cummings High top performer from a season ago, to an already unstoppable attack. They lost their lone game in the state title game with just Harrison and Neal in the rotation, finishing 26-1 in 2022-23. Look for their trio to lead them deep into the postseason once again given their talent levels.
Goldsboro Cougars
Amari Latham Amari Latham 6'5" | PF Goldsboro | 2024 State NC , Andre Williams Andre Williams 6'3" | SF Goldsboro | 2024 NC and Jaquan Green Jaquan Green 6'3" | CG Goldsboro | 2024 State NC are the leading returners set to do more damage in the 2A East after finishing 28-3 this past season. They’ll all have to contribute in bigger ways heading into their senior seasons. They’re always a scrappy bunch who has a late bloomer or young prospect to get eyes on every year.
Salisbury Hornets
Wake Forest commit Jayden Harris Jayden Harris 6'6" | SG Salisbury | 2024 State #220 Nation NC still has Macari House Macari House 5'11" | CG Salisbury | 2025 NC , Bryce Dalton Bryce Dalton 5'9" | PG Salisbury | 2025 NC and Hank Webb Hank Webb 6'4" | SF Salisbury | 2025 NC among a slew of others to rely on as he looks to go out with a bang as a top shooter in the state. Harris will certainly play with a sense of urgency with the Hornets given his cast of 2025s to bring along in 2023-24. Last year’s varsity experience should do them well.
Hendersonville Bearcats
Hendersonville High had a strong 2022-23 outing led by 2025 Malachi Simpson Malachi Simpson 6'6" | SF Hendersonville | 2025 State NC . He’ll have CJ Landrum CJ Landrum 6'3" | PF Hendersonville | 2024 State NC and Coby Retana Coby Retana 5'8" | CG Hendersonville | 2025 State NC back as well with some pieces to replace. Simpson will be looked upon to do a whole lot more heading into his junior year in the 2A West though unsigned senior Landrum and 2025 guard Retana should also show their respective development.
