Continue ReadingA prolific scorer on or off the ball, Braketa’s skillset may be leveraged under a wide variety of circumstances. Bringing in plenty of interest throughout the region, the guard boasts offers from Colorado School of Mines, MSU Denver, Black Hills State, and Northern Colorado. There are few backcourt scorers in the state who work as hard off-ball, sprinting around flare and pindowns to gain an advantage. With quick feet, Braketa is an immediate threat off the catch, although he does a great job picking his spots for attempts off the bounce. Defensively, the guard possesses a high IQ, active and effective reading the opponent tendencies.
Sanders brings a myriad of skills to the table, especially strong and athletic while getting to the basket. The guard is a versatile and productive finisher around the rim, effectively taking bumps and readjusting mid-air for finishes. Dependable getting downhill, the guard draws plenty of attention and double teams. When opponents prove aggressive on help defense from those drives, Sanders is particularly effective sending quick kickouts to perimeter shooters. Defensively, the guard can match up with both backcourt opponents, although his strength may allow him to guard up if necessary. Sanders remains one of the state’s most talented guards, holding an offer from Northern Colorado.
A highly productive shotmaker and facilitator while handling the rock, King still remains at the forefront of backcourt prospects in this class. Proving effective of mixing up opponents off the bounce, the guard has great pacing with the ball. Effective creating space with crossovers and spin moves, King is highly adept hitting tough jumpers off the bounce. Bringing in plenty of scoring gravity, the guard is becoming more and more capable of hitting shooters with one-handed passes off the bounce.
Scherer is a bouncy guard who is an impactful playmaker out of ball screens. Capable of stepping into shots quickly off the dribble or catch, the junior guard is a smooth scorer. Especially efficient at scoring the ball, Scherer has been a steady lead guard throughout the summer and past seasons with Valor Christian. Although an excellent shotmaker, Scherer is still productive facilitating for teammates, maximizing his gravity for kick outs and passes through tight windows. His ability to remain a threat off the ball cannot be overlooked either, doing great at navigating screens to make himself available. Defensively, Scherer is intuitive, especially effective reading opponent tendencies for steals and deflections. Scherer holds an offer from MSU Denver.
Eschmeyer brings two-way upside alongside a perimeter skillset moldable under many circumstances. Capable spacing the floor off the catch or ripping past opponents for pull-up jumpers in the mid-range. Few forwards at his size in the state bring his perimeter based skillset, certainly showing potential as a wing at the next level. Defensively, Eschmeyer is an excellent shot blocker, posting 4 blocks per game this past season which landed him fifth in the state among all players. Particularly as a help side defender, they do an excellent job waiting until the last possible second to get up without fouling. His continued growth handling the ball will be fascinating, given his shotmaking ability along the perimeter. Eschmeyer holds an offer from Loyola Maryland.
