These players all have great skill sets and will look to improve on that even more heading into the new season. Here are my top small forwards for the 2026 class part II.
Hillsman is a skilled forward who looks to take control of the post using his effective post moves. He has excellent timing and footwork in the post and seems to always get good positioning when posting up. He has a soft touch around the rim but can also attack it with aggression. Hillsman rolls nicely on pick-n-rolls and will look to kick it out to open shooters on the perimeter if the double team is drawn. His shot-blocking ability is also what can make him an elite two-way threat.
Burnam is a three-level scorer and is efficient with his shots and does not try to force anything. He has a smooth jumper from downtown and is automatic in the catch-and-shoot. His handles allow him to work the midrange area hitting tough pull-up jumpers. Burnam can get to the rim with ease and can finish with both hands well. He is also turning into a two-way player with his ability to play elite defense and pick up players full court all the way through.
Boyd plays mainly on the inside and looks to dominate that area with his strong upper body and athleticism. He has a soft touch around the rim and looks to play with his back to the basket. He can create space with some good post moves at his disposal. Boyd crashes the glass like a center getting double-digit rebounds in almost every game he plays. His shot-blocking ability is great as he can protect both the rim and the perimeter swatting away three-point shots.
Andree is a midrange and inside player with the ability to play lockdown defense on the other end. On offense, Andree can control the midrange area and rises nicely on his jumpers. He has a good handle for the ball and can create space off the dribble and get to the rim. He rebounds the basketball well by crashing the offensive glass and can guard almost every position with his ability to guard both the perimeter and interior.
Ahmetaj can be a factor on all ends of the court because of his versatile 6’4″ size. He has a nice handle that he uses to get to the rim or will look to create space on his jumpers. He has a quick release and thrives in the catch-and-shoot behind the arc. Ahmetaj can guard multiple positions and has great timing and instincts on when to get into the passing lanes and when to come over to help for double teams and blocks.
