In this article, we are looking at 2025 ballers from South Dakota who are either coming to the Expo on Saturday or Sunday. We have 15 ballers on our watchlist. Below we are commenting about them as players and why we want to watch them at the Expo.
WHY? I am excited to see Hamm live at Avera. He passes the eye test on film and coach Short has nothing but great things to say about Aidan. He averaged nearly 10 ppg last season and he set a 3-point shooting record for the Watchdogs. I am told that Hamm is as tough as leather and it will be fun to see him go head-to-head with some of the top talent in the Dakotas. PHD is expecting Aidan to have an impressive showing at the Expo.
WHY? I am high on the Terveen twins and I think that they will be breakout players this winter for the Knights. Austin has favorable size and athleticism and he has looked good in the past when I have watched. He is one of the more intriguing players that I want to watch at the Expo. Austin reminds me of an opportunistic scorer that can produce via catch-n-shoot and when attacking downhill. PHD believes that the Terveen’s will have a big junior year and the Expo will be the springboard into all of that success.

WHY? I watched him online during the season and I could tell that Benson was a special player. I saw him live on the PH Circuit multiple times this past spring/summer and I can confirm that he is the real deal. He is not the biggest player on the court but Benson is tough, super skilled, and lightning quick. He is a fantastic scorer but is an amazing creator/distributor, and a playmaker on defense. I love Kieffer’s pull-up game and he is a fearless finisher. I am expecting Benson to be one of the top PG’s at the event.
WHY? I have watched his film and I have witnessed him hoop live. Caleb was impressive in both. PHD predicts that the Terveen twins are ready for a breakout season with OG and this event will help justify those opinions. Caleb is a long and athletic wing/guard. When I watched Caleb this summer, he struck me as a talented shooter with great mobility. Is he mainly a shooter at the Expo or is Caleb an all-around offensive threat? Time will tell, but I bet that he will be impressive.
WHY? His sophomore season for the Black Panthers was outstanding and I am ecstatic to see Sprik in Sioux Falls. Hayden is known has a fluid scorer with a smooth and quick shooting release. He can fill it up from deep and blow by defenders with ease. I have heard that Sprik is a deadly off the dribble and I am excited to see him attack defenders. Does he shoot well at the Expo and does he look like one of the best 2025 players at the event?

WHY? PHD is expecting Meeter to be scoring a ton of points at the Expo. He scores in bunches and he does it from every level. Will he play at the PG spot or more on the wing? I am interested to see how he defends and creates for others. Look for Kris to put on an impressive display on Sunday. He is a talented and big guard with a ton of creativity to his game.
Highlights
WHY? He will not be the tallest forward at the event but Virtue will likely be one of the best. He is a beast around the basket and a bucket-getter. If Virtue gets single coverage on the block, it will most likely result in points or a foul. I expect him to be active on the glass and score a ton of points. How does he look on defense, can he defend bigger posts? I know one thing, I am intrigued with Virtue’s game and I can’t wait to see him at the Expo.0
WHY? He was a DUDE last year at the Expo and Bruns was a stud this summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Luke’s stock continues to rise every month. He needs some serious attention from college coaches. I am excited to see Bruns go up against some of the elite guards from ND. Bruns will certainly be one of the top 3-point marksmen at the Expo. I am interested to see how he compares athletically with some of the top prospects. Will he settle for triples or score from all over the court?
WHY? He had a breakout sophomore season, a rockstar club season, and his game keeps improving. I watched Hanson play a few times this summer and I am interested to see if he looks any bigger. I fully expect Nick to be one of the best post players at the event. It will be fun to see him go up against some of the North Dakota BIGs. Will Hanson look like a top 10 player and make the All-Tournament Team?
Highlights
WHY? I watched him for the first time two years ago when he was a youngster and it was easy to see that Mav was a baller and a shooter. Nelson keeps sprouting up and I am excited to see how big he is now. Mav certainly should be one of the top shooters at the event. I am interested to see how Mav looks on the defensive side of the ball and if he scores around the basket or if he mainly scores from the perimeter.

WHY? I have only watched his film and heard reports on Kippley, so I am looking forward to seeing Noah at the Expo. Multiple people have told me that Kippley is a talented shooter, and an all-around player. I am interested to see how he compares to some of the top guards from North Dakota. I also want to see Noah compete against some the best athletes and see how he fits in. PHD is expecting Mr. Kippley to have a quality showing at Avera.
WHY? Baskin is a long guard/wing and a gifted athlete. Sam should be in the category of the top athletes at the event. I did not get a chance to see him play this summer in club basketball but I heard that he had a quality season with the Rebels. I am interested to see Baskin’s skill level and shooting ability.

WHY? I have never watched him play live but everyone that I talk to raves about Mr. Henderson. He should be one of the strongest and toughest players at the Expo. I have heard that Shane has improved a ton this offseason and he will likely be one of the top forwards at the event, will he play like it? All signs indicate yes!
WHY? He is intriguing with his length, size, and athleticism. I imagine that the college scouts will be keeping a close eye on Tjaden. He had a nice offseason and improved his overall game. I am interested to see his foot speed, strength, and if he can take over a game. Tad certainly will be a matchup problem for most of the players at the Expo.
WHY? I have only watched his film so I am excited to watch him in-person. Beckman is known as a SNIPER and a lethal 3-point shooter. He is a smart player with excellent basketball instincts. I am interested to see his shooting form and if Mr. Beckman is one of the top shooters at the event. Beckman is intriguing and PHD will be watching him closely. If you like shooter, keep an eye on Trevon.
