Baskin has garnered a bunch of NAIA/D3 offers. He’s a well-rounded guard that is impressive both on and off the court as well, by my findings. I watched the state AA tournament this past week, and Baskin was a crucial piece and playmaker for Sioux Falls Washington.

Baskin had the most prominent role for CYAL Rebels , as a go-to scorer that was aggressive and could carry the load, with aggression from the midrange and going at the rim. Baskin has the ability to hit tough shots at next-level level of difficulty.

Baskin was an efficient finisher at the hoop and in the painted area. He was smart in picking his spots to attack off the dribble. And was finishing consistently. Moves well and is a good athlete. He was one that was setting screens — and solid ones. Kept the offense continuity and ball movement.

WHY? He had a bit of a slow start to the Expo but Sam really turned it on for game 3. In Baskin’s last game, he exploded and put up points. He is a good-sized guard with impressive athletic ability. This Warrior can get to the rim and score with a versatile finishing package. Sam sprints the floor hard on offense. He also held his own on defense and slowed down some big time scorers. I am not sure what his role will be this winter, but it will be interesting to see how this coming season plays out.

WHY? Baskin is a long guard/wing and a gifted athlete. Sam should be in the category of the top athletes at the event. I did not get a chance to see him play this summer in club basketball but I heard that he had a quality season with the Rebels. I am interested to see Baskin’s skill level and shooting ability.
