Kieffer moves up a spot in this update, and he just announced his commitment to D2 Black Hills State University. A great fit I believe, and the west river D2 must believe that Kieffer’s dynamic game, motor, quickness, scoring, and range shooting overscores his 5’10” size. I think he has a good chance to thrive.
Kieffer and Rapid Christian Christian have had tremendous seasons. He’ll be one of the most important players in the Class A playoffs in determining how things shake out. If he plays well and is effecient and assertive, good things will happen for Rapid City Christian. He’s put up an impressive stat-line of 18.2 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 3.5 APG, and 1.7 SPG. The dynamic point guard moves up to the #12 ranked prospect, with his 5’10 size being his only concern. Kieffer recently picked up an offer from Morningside University. Rapid City Christian, the #1 seed in Region 8A, is set to matchup with #4 Custer in a whale of a game.
Kieffer was with Sanford’s top 17U team this offseason. He started as a 2-guard for them with the top point guard in the state, Markus TalleyMarkusTalley

, as the primary ball-handler. He was a little tougher to evaluate this offseason because of the level of competition he faced on the UA Rise Circuit and because he wasn’t the main ball-handler. On a stacked Sanford team, I thought he played his role nicely and didn’t let anything bother him to where he was going to force any unnecessary action. He timely picked his spots to attack and be a creator at the hoop and as a shooter. I thought he was a solid defender that played soundly on the ball with good space and quick feet. He didn’t boost his stock, and I think he can translate to an NAIA/D3 scoring point guard. He holds an offer from St. John’s University Johnnies in Minnesota.
Kieffer was the most aggressive shooter and scorer in the entire tournament, with an opening win over Sioux Valley in which he shot the ball 25 times and scored 25 points, going 5-13 from three. In the 3rd/4th place game he scored 29 points on 23 shots making four threes and making 11 of 12 free throws. He was pulling up from three and shooting range threes. Showed a fluid and confident stroke that possesses great range. Dangerous scorer.
