Talley erupted for a career-high 30 points vs Orono (MN)

Orlando Christian Prep played a zone defensively, most likely to slow down Talley from carving them up man to man. They limited him from getting in the lane and he never got frustrated and let things come to him by feeding the Bigs. Nine points, seven rebounds, and five assists vs OCP.

Update

Talley is leading the top rated team in AA, with Mitchell being a perfect 3-0 and coming off of a state championship. So you can call that a 20-game winning streak dating back to last season. Talley has been magnificent running the show. Though not the best or #1 prospect in the state, I think he’s the best high school player this year. I think Augustana is getting a steal with Talley, and at this point, with how well he’s playing, some might say he’s a D1 talent. He’s scoring the rock and shooting the three at a ridiculous clip.

I went back and watched more of some of the top 2025 prospects and a good amount of AA basketball. And Talley stood out to be on another level of gear, poise, and making all sorts of plays. He’s super quick and fluid with the ball when he’s accelerating to get into the open court. He can dime off to cutters or find teammates around the hoop. He’ll also take it in and score for himself in a manner of ways. I think he puts together a very nice season.
