Preseason Player of the Year: 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171696' first='Jack' last='Cooley'] (Clarke)

Very good arguments could be made for either Cooley or EBF's [player_tooltip player_id='1171680' first='Brooks' last='Moore'] here, but we'll side with Cooley, who does a little bit more as an all-around weapon.

First Team

2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171696' first='Jack' last='Cooley'] (Clarke): 20.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 3.0 steals, 1.4 blocks, 51.4 FG%

An athletic 6-5 wing who can do a little bit of everything on the floor, Cooley can guard pretty much any position at this level, create off the dribble, stretch the floor, and pound the glass. He should have a huge senior year for an Indians team that will battle EBF and Knoxville for conference supremacy.

2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171680' first='Brooks' last='Moore'] (Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont): 20.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals, 48.3 FG%

Moore is an extremely athletic wing who is a terror in transition, looking to dunk on anyone and everyone that gets in his way. He's great on the glass on both ends of the floor (3.6 offensive a game) and has improved as a playmaker off the dribble.

2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1476980' first='Mason' last='Smith'] (Chariton): 22.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 2.8 steals

Smith is small, listed at 5-9 last season, but he's an explosive scorer who loves to attack the rim and get to the bucket for finishes. He does a great job using his speed to his advantage on both ends of the floor, averaging nearly three steals a game in addition to his huge scoring numbers.

2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1376707' first='Bo' last='Otto'] (Clarke): 11.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 8.2 assists, 3.0 steals

A high IQ lead guard who does a great job protecting the ball and putting his teammates in positions to succeed, Otto was among the state's leaders in assists last season and posted a 3.0 assist-to-turnover ratio.

2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1668669' first='Landen' last='Norris'] (Knoxville): 14.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.1 steals, 39.8 3P%

Norris was really good for a young Panthers team last season, leading them in scoring and assists, and finishing third in rebounding. He's a three-level scorer who shoots it really well off the dribble.
