So instead, I’m opting to break down prospects by area. Starting with far west Kentucky AKA the first and second regions. Here’s a look at the top players in the farthest west area of Kentucky.
This one is a no brainer. There is a strong argument to be made that Travis is the best player to ever come out of Western Kentucky. He’s at least going to hold all the scoring records when he graduates and is Kentucky’s all time leading scorer right now.

Not many have seen their stock take off like Williams in the last calendar year. The athletic wing from Hoptown has approximately a billion offers from the Juco/D2/NAIA level and is primed for a big season for the Tigers.
Bateman is one of the most underrated players in the state. He’s got plenty of offers and looks like the kind of prospect who will go Juco and emerge as a good D1 player in 2 years. He and Williams are interchangeable in this list, in my opinion.
Shoulders has seen his recruiting take off in the last 6 months or so and looks like he’ll be signing at the D1 level by the spring. While Brady has been overshadowed by Travis Perry Travis Perry 6’2″ | PG Lyon County | 2024 State #115 Nation KY over the years, he’s a really good player in his own right.
Butler has become one of the best players in Western Kentucky and stands to take over the top spot next year after all those currently ahead of him graduate. Holding an offer from Lipscomb and interest from several other D1 schools, he has Calloway in position to contend for the next two years.
Highlights
Finley has been a known commodity over the last few seasons in the first region and is capable of scoring in bunches. One of the best guards in the 2025 class, Eli has to be mentioned among the top players in all of the first and second regions.
Jack, like Brady Shoulders Brady Shoulders 6’6″ | PF Lyon County | 2024 State KY , has been overlooked at times in his career but is a very good player and one of the most underrated guards in Kentucky, in my opinion.
Highlights
Grubbs is another name that has been making an impact at the varsity level for the past several years. Gavin has had a really good career for UHA and is a good college prospect who should end up at the scholarship level.
Highlights
Elijah is a very good athlete who plays with a great motor and has a chance to earn several college offers as his skill level catches up to his athleticism. He’s got a chance to be very impactful for UHA this season.
Highlights
Cooper will have a chance to see a huge boost to his numbers as well as his college stock this year. Likely to slide over to the point guard spot as a Junior, Henderson County will really need Davenport to step up in order to contend in the second region.
