Brady was a key cog for Lyon County for the last 4 years. The newly crowned state champion will choose between Mercer and Florida Gulf Coast after decommitting from Tennessee-Martin after a coaching change.

Recently decommitted from UT Martin, Shoulders now becomes one of the recruiting priorities to watch this weekend among available 2024 prospects. Mercer and Florida Gulf Coast are the first programs to reoffer Shoulders since the decommittment announcement. I was impressed with the physicality Shoulders played with in the paint. Getting a couple buckets off quick turn and pivots, Shoulders created some easy looks in the paint. The gameplan for Ashland Blazer seemed to be to leave shoulders open early from 3 and after missing a couple open ones in the first quarter, a big 3-pointer on the wing in the second made Ashland Blazer respect his 3-point shot as well. Another area of the game where Shoulders made a big impact was as a passer. With good vision and patience, Shoulders made some passes through tight angles for easy looks.

Shoulders is the most recent D1 commitment in the class as he is off the board to UT-Martin. A versatile 3/4 who has gotten better and better as his career has gone on, Brady is able to knock down threes at a high rate or put the ball on the floor and attack the rim.

is another Lyon that has committed to play D-1 basketball. He will be taking his talents to UT-Martin. Shoulders was third on the team in scoring last season averaging 17.9 points and led the team in rebounding with 11.1 a game. He also shot over 50% from the field and above 35% from behind the arc. Shoulders is a key piece to Lyon County and could help push them even further this season.

Shoulders has seen his recruiting take off in the last 6 months or so and looks like he’ll be signing at the D1 level by the spring. While Brady has been overshadowed by

. Shoulders averaged a double-double at 17.9 points and 11.1 rebounds a game. He shot over 50% from the field, nearly 36% from behind the arc, and almost 60% from the strike. Brady can do it all. If he needs to score, he can score. If he needs to grab rebounds and lock down the opponent, he can do it. Shoulders also has a great athleticism that allows him to finish at the rim with ease.

Brady is not someone that should be overlooked. He does whatever it takes to get the win. Whether it be rebounding, hitting treys, or posting up, Shoulders can do it. The ceiling is high and Brady is a player that can definitely reach it. A double-double machine a season ago, expect an even bigger year from the senior.

Brady turned heads in Atlanta early this month with a strong showing in the UA finals and has himself in line for more offers as he approaches his Senior season. Shoulders is a Swiss Army knife type of player who does a lot of things to impact winning and will end up at the scholarship level in college thanks to all the things he does for his team.

I was actually in Atlanta last week when a D1 coach text me and asked about Brady after a particularly strong performance for his Nashville Stars program. Shoulders is a no brainer scholarship level prospect and has the potential to play at the small D1 level in the right fit as a big wing or stretch 4.
